COLOUR C O L L E CT I O N Combining different colours in a variety of shades and tones can do miracles for a home, room or terrace. The choice of colour can also make a big difference to our mood, and it’s well known that different colours evoke a range of emotional responses. Blue, for instance, is associated with peace and quiet, brown tones create harmony and yellow symbolises energy and joy. We also give the different shades of colour wonderful names to describe them, like azure blue, lime green or sunshine yellow. These names all have one thing in common: to evoke an emotional reaction. We’re proud of this year’s new colours. We think they’re beautiful, and perfectly suit our fantastic outdoor furniture. Our new colour map is best described as subdued tones of green, red and beige, and we’ve given the new colours names like Burnt paprika, Moss green and Khaki in order to describe their shades. Burnt paprika features a burnt, slightly reddish-brown tone, Moss green is a dark green colour with a hint of yellow and Khaki is a wonderful fusion of grey and beige.

COLOURS T O C A P T I VAT E Our new colours dovetail beautifully with greys, browns, blacks or whites, which are traditionally the most common colours of Nordic outdoor furniture. And it’s certainly no coincidence that this is the case, because these colours go really well with nature’s own colour palette that appears in the seas, forests and flowery meadows. Nature was our main source of inspiration when we created these new tranquil and harmonious hues, which we hope will enhance the settings in your home, whether indoors or out. We coordinate our range of products with accessories such as lanterns, mats and cushions in order to create the same cosy feeling on your terrace that you have indoors. All of our furniture is carefully thought out and can be adapted to your needs. Take note of the seat height, back angle and choice of materials next time you look at our furniture. You’ll notice how different it is from many other products on the market. What’s more, it’s equally resistant to the climate in Scandinavia as it is down south in the Mediterranean.

All of our furniture is colour coordinated. This means you can furnish your entire patio with matching furniture. We also have specially tailored furniture covers and maintenance products ideally suited to your particular selection.

Almost all of our frames are made of aluminium – a material with many advantages compared to e.g. steel, both when it comes to corrosion protection and allowing light, easy-to-move furniture. There’s a big difference in the strength of a product with a stout frame compared to a thin one.

A lot of the synthetic rattan products available today contain a high percentage of recycled plastic, which is both weaker and has lower UV resistance. We seek to use the stronger “virgin” synthetic rattan in all of our furniture.

All of our fabrics have consistently high UV resistance and withstand the sun’s rays well. They’re also made from materials that are durable and easy to clean.

Durability is important to us! Because we want your favourite furniture to last a long time, we’re meticulous in our choice of materials. Should anything wear out, we keep a large stock of spare parts and coverings.

Temperature changes may cause the material to “move” and bulge slightly. We recommend Brafab multisurface cleaner for cleaning and treatment. ACACIA – HARDWOOD Treat your furniture with Brafab oil and it will retain its beautiful finish. New furniture must be fully suffused with the oil by applying it several times one after the other until as much as possible has been absorbed. Wipe away any excess oil. The furniture should be treated with oil several times a year, especially in the spring before it’s put out for the season. PAINTED, GLAZED ACACIA Clean with a soft cloth and mild washing-up liquid. Preferably, wipe dry. Protect the furniture from rain, ideally using a well ventilated furniture cover. Wipe the furniture dry if it gets wet in the rain. If the glaze gets scratched, lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper to remove any dirt before re-glazing. Test a small area first to check that you have the right colour. Contact a hardware store for advice on the right product. TEAK – Note! Not white-stained or greyed teak. Heavily soiled teak must be cleaned using wood cleaner. Light soiling can be washed away with water and a mild washing-up liquid. Ideally, wet the teak shortly before cleaning to soften the surface a little. If the wood grain is raised after cleaning, lightly sand the surface using fine sandpaper. Allow the furniture to dry at least one day before finishing with wood protection or teak oil. NATURAL BRUSHED TEAK Our brushed teak is treated with wood impregnation and usually only needs cleaning with a mild washing-up liquid. The furniture can be treated with wood cleaner, wood protection and teak oil. WHITE-STAINED TEAK Clean with lukewarm water, mild washing up liquid or white-pigmented soft soap and a soft cloth. Allow the furniture to dry completely for at least 24 hours, preferably more. Finished using wood protection, which is completely colourless and prevents damp and dirt from getting into the wood. NATURALLY GREYED TEAK Clean with lukewarm water, mild washing up liquid and a soft cloth. Maintain the furniture using wood cleaner and wood protection. PINE When the surface becomes matte and water no longer beads on it, it’s time to treat pine furniture. First thoroughly clean the furniture using Brafab wood cleaner or other wood cleaning agent. Allow it to dry for at least 24 hours before treating with Brafab oil. In the case of lacquered pine, refer to the care instructions for hardwood and acacia. STAINLESS STEEL Stainless steel is a very weather-resistant material. However, a specific form of surface corrosion or coating can occur in certain exposed environments. This can be removed using a cleaning agent for stainless steel. We recommend Brafab’s Nano Spray, which both cleans and applies a protective film. This treatment should take place twice a year to keep the furniture looking good. TIGHTEN THE SCREWS Because wood is a living material, wood screws may need to be tightened periodically. It’s good practice to tighten the screws before you stow the furniture away for the winter, and again when you get it out for the season. WINTER STORAGE When the season is over, the furniture will do best if you protect it from the wind and weather in a dry, cool, well-ventilated space. Make sure it’s dry when you store it, and ideally use furniture covers. Make sure there is a free flow of air so that the furniture is ventilated.
