Choosing the venues for your wedding ceremony and reception are the most important decisions you will make when planning your wedding. The Northland Arboretum in Brainerd offers outdoor and indoor alternatives. The breathtaking scenery of the great outdoors where you are surrounded by majestic pines, prairie grasses and wildflowers or if indoors is more to your liking, our Fireside Room and the lower level of the building can be decorated to suit your tastes. Our awe-inspiring surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for exquisite wedding photos.

You may desire a small intimate wedding with a few family members and friends or a big celebration that includes over a hundred relatives, friends and colleagues. When you tour the Arboretum with our event planner, Kelly Hughes, you will see all that we have to offer to accommodate your special day.

Under the Sun or Moon

Located on 500 acres of beautiful land, Northland Arboretum offers three enchanting gazebos, each one within a beautiful setting. The gazebos offer privacy for your outdoor wedding and with each season, the surroundings provide a stunning backdrop.

Holden Gazebo provides an exquisite setting for smaller intimate outdoor weddings while the Prairie Gazebo area, located in a beautiful sea of grass, provides space for as many as 200 wedding guests.

Indoor Romance

We provide the option to combine your indoor and outdoor spaces as you wish for a truly customized experience. The Fireside Room with its cozy fireplace is the perfect setting for a small, intimate romantic indoor wedding. It accommodates up to 64 guests and is perfect for winter weddings.

The Arboretum’s lower level accommodates 170 guests and has a dance floor. Enjoy an indoor/outdoor experience when you make use of the adjoining patio with its outdoor lighting.

The Arboretum’s two indoor spaces are both equipped with full kitchens. Tables and chairs are included in the rental. We also have speakers, cocktail tables, chair covers and napkins available for rent. Our vendors’ list provides a variety of caterers, or you can bring food in.

Access to your preferred space is provided the previous night for your convenience. Use this time to decorate for the big day or host the groom’s dinner.
