Pine River-Backus Schools
Pine River is the proud home of the Pine River-Backus Tigers, a smalltown school district with the comforts of a neighborhood school and the opportunities of a large school district.
PR-B Schools offer many opportunities for students, families and our community. We are proud of who we are, where we come from and where we are headed.
We strive to develop partnerships within our communities and work collaboratively to improve the education of our students and enrich the lives of our area residents.
We are a preK-12th grade school with about 1,000 students and 7,800 residents within our district. We cover approximately 500 miles and employ 175 people.
We are always looking for friendly, hardworking individuals to become part of the PR-B family and welcome you to check out our various employment opportunities.
Pine River-Backus Schools offer many opportunities for involvement through athletics and activities. Every student has an opportunity to participate, grow and succeed in our programs.
Whether you are interested in academic excellence, sports and athletics, or the arts, PR-B has something for you!
PR-B Community Education programs and activities are available to everyone in our community and we strive to provide opportunities to fit all our communities’ needs. We create partnerships to share opportunities to grow, educate, enrich and entertain all of our residents.
PREK-12 EDUCATION
PR-B Early Childhood Education is for those birth to 4 years olds and offers parenting education classes. Flexible schedules are offered to include 3 years olds half day, 4 year olds full day, and some evening activities.
PR-B Elementary School offers small class sizes to create personal connections between staff and families. Our school implements positive social interaction through positive behavior. We recognize our students for their positive choices and celebrate their successes.
PR-B High School gives our students the opportunity not only to obtain a diploma, but also earn college credits. Many students have earned their Associates Degree when they leave PR-B Schools. We offer a variety of options for students to pursue their interests.
We work hard to keep our facilities and technology updated to better prepare our students for the future ahead of them. When you come into Pine River-Backus Schools, you will know you are in Tiger country as we have been updating our buildings and grounds.
We have interactive displays for the students and the community to stay current on our events and activities, as well as celebrate our past history and accomplishments.
