Set almost entirely inside a young girl’s mind, Pixar’s latest animated feature brings a child’s emotions to life. Riley (Dias) is a happy little girl with five main emotions living in her head: Joy (Poehler), Sadness (Smith), Fear (Hader), Anger (Black) and Disgust (Kaling). Joy is the dominant one of the group, but when Riley and her parents move to a new city, her emotions are thrown into dis- array. When Sadness causes Riley to cry in front of her new schoolmates, she and Joy set off a disastrous chain reaction in Riley’s memories and end up lost deep in the little girl’s mind. As the other three emotions desperately try to keep Riley’s emotions in balance, two opposites struggle to find their way back to her conscious mind.
