Set in 1956 in suburban Plainview, Conn., on a night where most of the town is at the big basketball game, the Web series of five eight-minute episodes launches with an air-raid siren that sends everyone scrambling to the fallout shelters. Ten strangers — including a greaser, a beatnik and a Romanian exchange student — wind up locked together ... and one of them is a vampire.

The Web series, which premiered earlier this month and features music by Sheen, focuses on Preston (Elliot Joseph) and Jeannie (Tarah Consoli), two lovelorn 20-somethings who just can’t seem to get past the awkward stage in their stalled relationship.
