National Loon Center
Be a part of loon and freshwater conservation with the National Loon Center in Crosslake! Join a StewardShip Excursion during the summer on Cross Lake. Boat capacity is typically 15 members of the public, and all ages can come aboard. The pontoon is handicap accessible and can accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.
Mini Golf
Challenge your family to some friendly competition. Will anyone get a holein-one? Who will keep cool with all the course hazards? Pirate ships, meandering streams, rolling greens, boulders, and waterfalls are just some of the fun you’ll encounter.

Whistling Wolf: Largest mini golf courses in the area with Dark Moon Mega and Whistling Wolf offering 45 holes of mini golf between the two courses.

Wildwedge Mini Golf: 18 challenging holes that will take you a little longer to play based on course design.

The Northland Arboretum
Head to the Northland Arboretum October 19–21, if—you dare! The annual haunted trail is a popular family event. You’ll walk through the dark trails but beware of what lurks in the shadows! If your ghouls prefer less intense, take the low scare trail. If you like a little more adventure, the intense high scare section will make your screams extreme!
Paul Bunyan Land
The Haunted Hidden Hollows at Paul Bunyan Land is central Minnesota’s largest haunted attraction with a corn maze and haunted house. You can do one attraction or both. Do you have what it takes to walk through a corn maze in the dark?! It’ll scare the YELL right out of you! Concessions available. Paul Bunyan Land will post dates and times on its website as we near October.
Safari Scare
Safari Scare is central Minnesota’s newest haunted trail at Safari North Wildlife Park. Safari Scare opens Friday, October 6 and runs Fridays and Saturdays through October 28. Open from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Haunted trail with a hay ride shuttle. Bonfire with s’more kits. Hot chocolate, mini donuts, caramel apples, cotton candy, and cider. Plus a giant inflatable maze!
