The Goodness of Yoga!

Discovered thousands of years ago, by the people of our very own country, Yoga is a physical practice that is revered by all. It has been accepted by several cultures across the world and is being promoted by world leaders because of the benefits it provides. It heals the body, mind and soul and gives us long lasting energy that drives us with force. It helps us build immunity, it boosts our metabolic system, digestion, blood circulation, heart functions and stimulates our nervous system as well. It regulates our mood, releases happy hormones like endorphins and makes us less susceptible to stress. It helps us stay active and enjoy life to the fullest. Yoga contain several ‘Asanas’ which make us stretch our hands, legs and torso which in order makes the muscles and tissues in our body more flexible and well adapted to our physical environment. Are you going to practice ‘Asanas’ on the International Yoga Day?

Did you know there exists an animal, which loves sugary food, just like me and you! It is known as the ‘Sugar Glider’. It can glide through air, just like flying squirrels but they are not even related to each other! It can glide through the air with the help of a special feature known as the ‘patagia’, which extends from their forelegs to their hindlegs! By gliding through the air, they can travel more efficiently and faster! They are found in South-Eastern Australia!

Extends: Continues Forelegs: Front legs

Sugar Gliders like to have big families and live in colonies of 20-40 individuals.
