Life Story

Once upon a time, somewhere in a ruthless city, lived a young boy who was very poor. He sold newspapers for a living. After paying for his school and books, he hardly had anything to buy food with! He often got hungry but he never complained. Once while delivering newspapers he felt very hungry as he hadn’t eaten in days. He didn’t have parents to feed him, nor generous siblings who offered any help. He went door to door begging for food! Nobody gave him anything, and were unnecessarily rude. One day he stumbled upon a beautiful girl and asked for some water. But looking at the sickly condition of the boy, she offered him some porridge and a glass of milk. The boy devoured the food and thanked the girl for her help. Years later, the girl who had offered the little boy the porridge and the milk fell extremely sick. The lady didn’t have much money to offer. So all the doctors in the city refused to cure her! Disappointed, she thought of visiting a great doctor everybody was talking about. She had already heard of the doctor’s kindness, and decided to visit him. The doctor treated her very well and cured her of all her illnesses. When the woman asked the doctor how much she owed him, the doctor said, paid with a glass of milk and a bowl of porridge!
