Babies on the Move

0–18 months

You and your baby will enjoy singing songs and rhymes while exploring new sensory experiences and working on developmental skills together. This program was developed for crawling, walking, and running babies, and will provide an opportunity for adults to connect. Held in cooperation with Bramalea-Gore-MaltonSpringdale Ontario Early Years Centre. Chinguacousy Thursdays 1:30–2:30 p.m.

Family Time

0–6 years

Four Corners Branch

This program involves music, story, and creative time for children (0–6 years) to enjoy with each other and their parents/caregivers. This program is held in cooperation with BridgeWay Family Centre. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. Fridays 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

Mount Pleasant Village Branch

EarlyON offers free early learning programs for parents and caregivers with children from birth to six years of age. Engage in a variety of activities to support children’s social, emotional, language, and physical development through child-led play, interactive story-time, and songs. Registered Early Childhood Educators will be available to connect with and ask questions. Offered in partnership with Child Development Resource Connection Peel (CDRCP). Tuesdays 1:30–3:30 p.m. Wednesdays 1:30–3:30 p.m. Fridays 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

0–18 months

Enhance caregiver and infant attachment through developmentally appropriate storytelling, songs, activities, and rhymes. These activities encourage early language development and social interactions. This program is held in cooperation with Malton Neighbourhood Services. Chinguacousy Tuesdays 1:30–2:30 p.m.

Jump, Hop, Run

0–6 years

This interactive, high-energy program lets caregivers and children sing and dance to songs. Exercise is incorporated into the moves to encourage children to build motor skills. Children can balance on one leg, jump, kick, run, hop, skip, twist, and twirl while singing. Caregivers are encouraged to participate with their children by rocking or lifting them through various partner songs to encourage bonding. Caregivers learn the importance of role modeling while gaining knowledge in physical literacy. This program is held in cooperation with Malton Neighbourhood Services. Chinguacousy Mondays 11 a.m.–12 p.m.

Movers and Shakers

18 months–3 years

Let's get moving! Toddlers and their grownups are invited to join us to learn through reading, singing, and playing. Chinguacousy Wednesdays 10:30–11 a.m. Cyril Clark Thursdays 11-11:30 a.m. Gore Meadows Mondays 10:30–11 a.m. Mount Pleasant Village Thursdays 11-11:30 a.m.

Music and Movement

18 months–3 years

This program provides an opportunity for parents and children to interact through music, movement, and rhyme. Your participation will help your child develop physical coordination, social skills, and creative expression. This program is held in cooperation with BridgeWay Family Centre. Gore Meadows Fridays 10–11 a.m.

0–6 years

Meet other families and children at this interactive program. A variety of activities are set up for children to explore with their adult followed by a story circle facilitated by a librarian. This program is held in cooperation with BridgeWay Family Centre. Four Corners Mondays 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

Sensory Storytime

0–8 years

Children and caregivers are invited to read, sing, rhyme, and enjoy sensory play activities in this storytime program especially for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Attendance is limited to ensure a small group setting. Please register by visiting any library branch or by phoning 905-7934636. Springdale Thursdays 6:30–7:30 p.m.

Songs and Stories

0–5 years

This program will enhance caregiver and child attachment through developmentally appropriate storytelling, songs, activities, and rhymes. It encourages language development and socialemotional interaction. This program is held in cooperation with Malton Neighbourhood Services. Springdale Thursdays10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.

Toddler Music and Movement

18 months–3 years

A program where children and families can sing, dance and most importantly, have fun! Singing is a fun and expressive way for children to learn new words and enhance their early language development. Dancing encourages the release of energy and promotes regular, healthy exercise to support healthy physical development. This program is held in cooperation with Malton Neighbourhood Services. Chinguacousy Fridays 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
