2016 SHUEY STOCK FARMS DONORS
ShueyTecumseh, StockNeb. Farms Inc. is a cattle and farming operation with ranches in and Corning, Iowa. We currently run 450+ head of cows, featuring 50
head of purebred Red Angus and Simmental and 400 head of Red Angus-, Simmentaland South Devon- cross commercial cows. The Simmental herd was started in 1974. In 1989, Red Angus genetics were added followed by South Devon in 2007. This year marks the 129th consecutive year our family has been farming and raising cattle on the same land in Southeast, Nebraska (1887). While cattle operations may come and go, we have been around a long time and plan on being so in the future. Though we’ve been fortunate to raise and show many outstanding individuals in the ten years we’ve been exhibiting Red Angus cattle, that’s never been our primary goal. Our main focus is, and will always be, to provide breeding bulls and commercial females that we can use in our own herd. We have always strived to produce functional, yet eye appealing breeding stock that perform well in the pasture and feedlot. We collect carcass data on more than 3,000 head of our own home-raised cattle. This gives us a unique opportunity to select and breed females and bulls that will work in the real world, rather than chasing popular trends. The females featured in this catalogue are the result of 25 years breeding and selecting Red Angus genetics for use within our own herd. They have proven to be successful, not only in the show ring, but in the pasture and feedlot as well. We believe in phenotypic excellence coupled with real world practicality. The individuals featured in this catalog are the very best that our herd has to offer. They have been selected for their phenotype, fertility, structural soundness, carcass traits and temperament. Embryo packages and progeny on many of these females will be available on upcoming consignment sales, at our bull sale in March and also by private treaty. Please use this catalog as a tool to study the genetic packages that we have to offer. Feel free to contact us if you have any interest in an individual. Thanks for your time and interest. We look forward to doing business with you in the future.

Our focus is and always will be, producing functional, eye appealing cattle that perform
both in the pasture and in the feedlot. While our purebred herd is often the most visible aspect, the heart and soul of our operation lies within our commercial cowherd. In the past 30 years we have collected carcass data on over 3000 head. This data is some of the most valuable information we have. It allows us to establish a commercial cowherd with predictable performance standards that are second to none. We expect our steers to go to harvest at thirteen months of age or less, weigh 1300 pounds, grade 80 percent or better choice and prime and have fewer than 7 percent yield grade 4’s. This is all done without creep feed. Finding and breeding these genetics is not easy. Finding and breeding these genetics in an eye-appealing package is even harder. These performance expectations have not gone unnoticed. The demand for our red two and three way cross commercial heifers has been tremendous. We welcome visitors at anytime. Many people are impressed at our purebred cattle. However, most people are even more impressed when looking through our commercial cowherd.

T7635
is our selection from 2013 Brown Dispersal sale and will be at the heart of our embryo program. Her incredible spread from BW to WW along with superb carcass numbers provides a multi-trait genetic level that is tough to match within the breed. This powerful female is sired by the great Brown Revelation P7021 bull that was one of the top bulls of the Red Angus breed and the subject of “Breeding the Perfect Bull.” To have a story written about him titled “Breeding the Perfect Bull,” is no small feat. Her dam, the top maternal sister to the famed Abigrace female, is the grandmother of many extensively utilized A.I. sires in the Red Angus breed: Brown Paramount, Premier, Sovereign, Supreme, Summit and X7877. T7635 has as much power, width of base and presence as we have seen. This is a big-time royal pedigree with proven ability to produce great offspring with breedleading genetics. This female has already produced one leading AI sire in Triumph. Y7230 ranks in the top 1% of the breed for Marbling and Gridmaster index. He also ranks in the top 2% of the breed for BW, STAY, and Herdbuilder index as well as the top 3% for CED. Also pictured was her 2014 natural calf sired by Brown Synergy. Embryo calves sired by U2 Mission 61W and Red Soo Line Powereye will be available in 2016.

Genetics out of this great bull are extremely rare and his progeny are sought after. His EPD profile ranks him in the top five percent of the breed in almost every category. Combine this with an attractive phenotype, and you can see why we are excited to be experiencing the mere beginning of what his progeny can do.

has truly proven herself as one of the top females in the Red Angus breed. From a phenotypic and production standpoint she is nearly faultless. 1750 is sired by PIE Code Red. Our family was part of the syndicate that purchased one half interest in Code Red for $76,000 at Pieper’s sale a few years ago. Due to an early death and limited semen supply, Code Red’s daughters are especially rare and valuable. 1750’s dam is also a leading donor in our lineup. holds a special place in our heart. Quite a few years back we got a call from Travis Pieper saying he had a great one. He wanted us to promote this female in the ring and then turn her into a leading donor cow for both of our programs. When we saw her at the sale we knew he was right. She was high selling female in their fall sale and remains the highest selling female to leave the Pieper program. Sired by PIE Get Western and crossed with the great Lakota family in her pedigree makes 7144 a valuable breeding piece for our purebred herd. Lakota females are becoming harder to come by as the years go on, as the demand for this pedigree only increases due to their high potential. This female has been the centerpiece of our purebred herd for many years now. She is almost flawless structurally with plenty of muscle, bone and foot size to continually raise some of the best. At age seven, off stalks, she still possesses that look in a cow that knows she is good! 7144's first calf, MNS Dinero was Calf Champion Bull in Denver in 2010 and then a week later was Reserve Overall Champion Bull in Fort Worth, and was later sold to Wildcat Creek Ranch in Kansas. SHOW RING SUCCESS
Lora Lee 1708 is another terrific female from the heart of one of our best cow families. RMS Daisey, MNS Chloe, MNS Sheena (all featured in this brochure) are all from the same cow family.
Reserve Calf Champion, 2011 Iowa State Fair Regional National Show
Sired by Red Northline Trueblood 341T, this female has championship genetics on both sides of her pedigree. Trueblood was the dominate 2010 National Champion Red Angus bull in Denver. 1708 was one of the most eye-catching females we have ever shown as a calf. She was extremely powerful and three-dimensional in her makeup, while providing that extra softness and bone that set her apart from the rest. Pictured in her “working clothes” at age two, we are very excited about the future potential of this female. Her first natural calf was sold via private treaty in 2013. She is part of four generations of breeding currently producing functional, stylish, docile, fertile bulls and females in our program. In 2016 calves will be available sired by U2 Mission 61W and PIE One-of-a-Kind.

SHOW RING SUCCESS The two females here are future donors of our program. Selected for their unique pedigrees and phenotypic excellence, we plan on building upon both of these cow families. 5742 may be the most unique pedigreed female in this lineup due to her Simmental background. Sired by the red Simmental National Champion GCF Mr. Amigo and out of our newest donor Faith 8708, this female has endless upside to her potential. With her pedigree, Makita 5441, combines cureve-bending EPD's along with eye appeal, style, and fertility. REG #1748386

8706
Body volume, structure, soundness, udder quality, and disposition equal longevity
is a female of ours that was never exhibited in the show ring, but her tract record in the pasture these past three years has more than justified her joining this exclusive donor lineup. She is an extremely smooth shouldered, long fronted female that still possessess exceptional stoutness and rib shape. All of these traits are carried through to her calves. This pedigree has the longest standing history in our purebred program. Her dam was purchased from the Pieper program and was Supreme Champion Red Angus female at Ak-Sar-Ben, as well as a class winner at two National Red Angus shows (Iowa State Fair, Denver). 8706 is sired by the great PIE Get-R-Done. These females excel in structural soundness, fertility and eye appeal. Her 2014 calf was a member of our Reserve National Champion Pen of Three Females in Denver and her 2015 calf was named Supreme Champion Foundation Red Angus female at the Iowa State Fair. In our business of both the purebred and commercial cattle we know that phenotypic excellence with real world practicality does not exist without a strong cow family. Without those traits longevity can never be accomplished.
