Founded in 1966, the Waltham Group is a staple of the Brandeis community. Over the past 50 years, it has evolved to be the largest organization at Brandeis and a powerful agent of progress in the City of Waltham. Today, the Waltham Group is a network of 20 student-led volunteer programs that engage in communities on a local, national, and international level.
A History of the Waltham Group
Students partner with over 40 nonprofit and government organizations to address major needs in local communities. Each year, more than 1250 students volunteer through Waltham Group programs which are led by approximately 75 student coordinators. In its long history, the Waltham Group has played a significant and positive role in the lives of Brandeis students and Waltham citizens alike.
