Feeling Energetic?
With golf courses, swimming pools and the west coast countryside on your doorstep you can step out of your ‘Field of Peace’ for a little bit of exercise and fun at any time you want. For those who love to sail, there are moorings at the local Ardfern Marina or you can take sea trips to Gulf of Corryvreckan (to see one of the world’s largest whirlpools), Scarba, Jura, the Garvellachs and beyond...
Touch of Culture
The West Coast of Scotland is steeped in history and culture. Why not visit the Killmartin Museum , Kilmartin (15 minutes from Ardfern) a wonderful place to find out more about some of the 350 or so ancient monuments that are scattered around within only a few miles radius of Kilmartin. Or, you could take the short boat ride to the Island of Easdale, enjoy the trip and the island and then check out the museum and discover the Island’s slate mining history - www.easdalemuseum.org You’ll find loads of leaflets and information on local attractions and events in the house, but do check out the visit scotland and other tourist sites to make the most of your stay...
