When some of Oklahoma A&M’s earliest students selected orange and black to be our school’s colors, they could have never imagined the impact their decision would have on hundreds of thousands of future Cowboys. This year, Oklahoma State University and the OSU Alumni Association welcome you back to Homecoming 2019: ‘As the World Turns Orange’ – a tribute to not only our alma mater’s prominent primary color but also the impact our orange-clad alumni and students have on our state, our nation and our world. You can find proud OSU alumni working in nearly every industry, and many of them credit their successes to the life skills learned on our campus, both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage today’s students to become wellrounded citizens who work hard, give back and stand for what matters. After all, being a Cowboy isn’t in our clothes; it’s in our character. As you visit your old stomping grounds at Homecoming 2019, make sure to do it wearing the brightest shade of orange you can find. And more importantly, make sure you take that bright color with you back out into the world. As Frank Sinatra once said, “orange is the happiest color.” Welcome home to all our alumni and friends, and a huge thanks to our students for their outstanding work putting together “America’s Greatest Homecoming Celebration.” May this one be the greatest and the brightest of all. Go Pokes!

The women of Alpha Chi Omega and the men of Sigma Nu believe that Nashville, Tennessee has close ties with our home of Stillwater, Oklahoma, through our country roots and kickin’ boots. The vibrant city life resembles the spirit of our very own campus, full of people with ambition seeking opportunities. Join us as we paint the streets of Nashville with America’s Brightest Orange.

Pistol Pete is ready to help us turn the Rose Bowl into Boone Pickens Stadium. Next on the tour is recognizing all the notable alumni at Oklahoma State with the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a Stillwater twist. Taking a pitstop at Capitol Records, where they have a “Go Pokes!” mural and orange music notes flowing out from it. Lastly, we have our BIG orange carpet event happening at Universal Studios. Make sure not to miss it!

Just as the London Bridge helps its citizens cross into new areas, Oklahoma State University helps its students successfully cross into brighter futures. Strong leaders have helped both London and Stillwater grow stronger through adversity, innovation and the spirit of its citizens. President Burns Hargis and the Queen of England give their citizens the strength to withstand any situation presented. Even after we leave Stillwater, we carry with us the spirit of the community. We will always be Stillwater strong as we keep calm and cowboy on!
Alpha Omicron Pi Phi Kappa Tau The women of Alpha Omicron Pi and the men of Phi Kappa Tau present “When in Stillwater,” a tradition that shines bright at Oklahoma State University. Deep in the heart of Texas, Dallas is home to cowboys past and present. From the cultural diversity and rich history, this city offers life and energy to all who visit. Even under the city of Dallas, the small-town roots feel like home, and southern hospitality welcomes people from all around the world. Everything is bigger in Texas and this remains true through the cowboy spirit. Stillwater has strong ties to Dallas from prospective students to proud alumni, who spread the pride of Oklahoma State as they turn the world orange.
Gamma Phi Beta Pi Kappa Alpha Welcome to Amsterdam. This is a city teeming with unadulterated magic and liberation. From the innovative local street artists, to the talented Van Gogh, to the canals winding around towering row houses and the vibrant tulips sprawling in fields, this metropolis has become a representation of the world itself. The men of Pi Kappa Alpha and the women of Gamma Phi Beta invite you to travel to this historic European capital, where you will surely find brilliant possibilities and limitless opportunities to paint this city in America’s Brightest Orange.
Kappa Alpha Theta FarmHouse
The first step in a journey that turns the world orange always begins in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Past, present and future Cowboys will always be able to come home to America’s Brightest Orange, but expanding our horizon blazes an orange trail to discover the world that lays ahead. As Henry Iba led the Olympic basketball team to gold, and after Japanese architects visited OSU, they created a replica of Old Central. The women of Kappa Alpha Theta and the men of FarmHouse remind you if nothing is ventured, nothing is gained. Welcome to Tokyo, Japan!
Kappa Delta Alpha Gamma Rho
From our famous Washington Street strip to the iconic winding streets of San Francisco, Kappa Delta and Alpha Gamma Rho welcome you to The Golden Cowboy! “International orange” is the official color of the Golden Gate Bridge. Just like the color of this famous bridge, America’s Brightest Orange reaches far beyond the city limits of Stillwater. As we continue to new places and new journeys, we will always bring with us an orange glimmer in our eyes. So sit back, relax and enjoy this trolley ride as we extend our southern hospitality to the west coast.
Kappa Kappa Gamma Sigma Phi Epsilon
As many cowboys have done before, we ask you to venture across the world to Sydney, Australia, and explore the incredible things this city has to offer. The women of Kappa Kappa Gamma and the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon want you to join us as we paint America’s Brightest Orange across the Stillwater Outback. From the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney Harbor, Cowboys have always made a name for themselves while taking part of Stillwater with them. Let us experience a place of opportunity, away from the red dirt roads of Oklahoma to the Australian Outback.

Five thousand miles and an ocean between cannot break the bond of Cowboys to their roots. This house decoration will show you Barcelona through the eyes of an OSU Cowboy. Rooted in traditions, Barcelona, like Stillwater, leaves a lasting impression on those who walk its hallowed streets. From art and architecture, to soccer and the Olympics, this Spanish hub for culture has seen its share of orange in the past and will continue to be brightened by the Cowboy family in the future.
Phi Mu Sigma Chi
Washington D.C. is known throughout the world as the home of our great nation’s leaders, and Americans who want to make a positive impact on the world around them. In many ways, Oklahoma State reflects these traits by constantly producing leaders in many places who make a positive impact in the world. This decoration is in honor of those tragedies that our Cowboy family, and the United States have experienced. Through these tragedies, both our nation and university have stood in solidarity and continued to accomplish remarkable feats.
Zeta Tau Alpha Phi Gamma Delta
The many different traditions that lay deep within Oklahoma State University are what makes our Cowboy campus home. The Cowboy family allows these unforgettable experiences to bring us together. Just like Stillwater, Honolulu runs deep with traditions that stem back to family. The Cowboy family will remain “loyal and true” and the Honolulu family will lay “mau loa” forever. The women of Zeta Tau Alpha and the men of Phi Gamma Delta are overjoyed to show you what the Cowboy Ohana means to us.
2019 HOMECOMING Grand Marshals
Billie and Ross McKnight For thousands of OSU alumni, Homecoming
served an important role in the development of their leadership skills as students. The planning and teamwork required to put together an elaborate house decoration or parade float are primers for many young Cowboys eager to take on the world after graduation. For this year’s grand marshals, Ross and Billie McKnight, nothing is more important than elevating our students and our alma mater through leadership. And it’s because of their leadership the
Cowboy family has a new facility to celebrate at Homecoming 2019. On October 11, the new McKnight Center for the Performing Arts was dedicated with an inaugural gala concert featuring The New York Philharmonic and Tony Award-winner Kelli O’Hara. The facility is named for the McKnights recognizing their $25 million donation in 2016 to fund the center’s programming endowment. But their support of our alma mater goes back much further.
The McKnights met while students at OSU in 1970, while Ross was an animal science senior and Billie was a freshman working toward a degree in business administration. They built their home in Throckmorton, Texas with extremely successful careers in ranching, oil and gas, and banking. They passed their love of OSU along to their two grown children, Trent and Meggan, who are third-generation OSU alumni.

The Oklahoma Cattlemen and Women are turning the world orange one brand at a time. On our float, we will have straw bales set around a fire pit with a handful of members sitting around the “campfire.” Hope you enjoy it!
Beekeepers Club “Life of a Beekeeper,” we want to showcase everything a beekeeper does by showcasing lots of plants and having a hive inspection displayed.
Omega Phi Alpha Phi Kappa Sigma No matter where we go, we take the lessons we learned at OSU and implement them into our new home. Cowboy culture is always a part of us no matter how far or wide we travel. The memories we made and the friends we met will stay with us for years to come.
Dairy Science Club The Oklahoma State Dairy Science Club is proud to honor the hard working farmers who provide a growing world with a wholesome and nutritious product: milk. Club members have the opportunity to travel worldwide, and we help turn the world orange.
Stout Hall
Like “the shot heard ‘round the world” where ever Cowboys go, they make an impact. Bringing the sprit of OSU with us, we “turn the world orange” through our optimism, can-do attitude and skill. Thanks to our alumni, faculty and student outreach.
Bennett Hall On our float, we have a spinoff of the King Midas tale as he had the ability to turn every person he touched gold. So, King Pete is turning everything he touches orange! Without Pete, our orange power would not be as widespread as it is today.
CASNR Student Council CASNR Student Council’s theme is “As Agriculture Turns Orange.” CASNR has played a role in developing agriculture on a state, national and international level. To put it simply, CASNR is turning agriculture orange.
