OUR DESIGN CAPABILITIES

We have our own team of passionate inhouse Designers and Product Developers with collective experience of over 100 years in garment manufacturing and designing. NCC is an ISO 9001 Certified company with Technical Staff who are fully versed with Australian and New Zealand Standards. We use wellrespected and recognized external Testing Laboratories to test all our fabrics and trims to ensure they meet the AS/NZS Quality Standards. Our experienced Technicians are happy to assist you in selecting the most suitable product specific to your industry.

HI VIS GARMENT DAY ONLY

AS/NZS 4602.1:2011

Class D garments are suitable for day use only and consist of High Visibility fabric. These garments provide no High Visibility protection at night. Background fabric complies with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 HighVisibility materials for safety garments.

REFLECTIVE TAPE 25 WASH

Reflective tape fully complies with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 HighVisibility materials for safety garments. Domestic wash 25 cycles @ 60°C.

INDUSTRIAL LAUNDRY TAPE

Industrial tape withstands the rigours of industrial laundering, complies with AS/ NZS 1906.4:2010 High-Visibility materials for safety garments. 50 cycles @ 92oC.

HI VIS GARMENT DAY AND NIGHT

AS/NZS 4602.1:2011

Class D/N garments are suitable for either day or night use and consist of both High Visibility fabric and reflective tape. Both components comply with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 HighVisibility materials for safety garments.

REFLECTIVE TAPE 50 WASH

Reflective tape fully complies with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 HighVisibility materials for safety garments. Domestic wash 50 cycles @ 60oC.

BIOMOTION

Biomotion, is the perceptual phenomenon in which highlighting the major joints of the body significantly increases recognition of the human form. By taking advantage of biomotion, clothing garments can increase visibility.

HI VIS GARMENT NIGHT ONLY

AS/NZS 4602.1:2011

Class N garments are suitable for night use only. Reflective tape complies with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 High-Visibility materials for safety garments.

SUN PROTECTION UPF RATING 50+

AS/NZ 4399:2017

Our garments provide UPF 50+ UV protection compliant with AS/NZ 4399:2017.

Garments are fully seamsealed. Most waterproof fabrics will leak through the stitching if not seam sealed. Seam tape is a critical link for ultimate waterproof protection.

EASY CARE

Fabrics are easy care, machine washable and dry quickly.

WICKING

Wicking fabric yarns have inbuilt technology that wicks moisture away from skin to the outside, keeping you dry.

WATER RESISTANT

These fabrics have a water resistant woven outer layer and PU coated inner layer that is engineered especially to be water resistant.

COTTON

Cotton fabrics are highly absorbent, easy to handle and durable.

ANTI-STATIC

STAY COOL

Wicking fabrics consist of a mesh knit construction that will keep the wearer cool and comfortable on warm days or when they’re active.

WINDPROOF

Fabrics are 100% Windproof. PU Coating acts against wind penetration, removing the chill factor.

SNAG RESISTANT

Fabric specifically designed to potentially minimise the affects of incidental snagging during the laundering process.

COTTON BACK KNIT

Cotton back fabrics consist of polyester outer and cotton back inner knit construction for comfort and natural cotton feel against your skin.

BREATHABLE

Breathable fabrics have inbuilt technology that allow body heat and perspiration to move through the fabric to the outside, keeping you dry and comfortable.

STRETCH

The fabric is designed to stretch with your every move without compromising on the fuctional design of the garment.

Antistatic fabrics are designed to prevent Electrostatic Discharge effect when working with electronics, high-explosive vapours or super-clean lab works. Uncontrolled release from static build-up is a potential hazard in many industries. Antistatic fabrics have been specifically developed to provide the very best static control against incendiary spark, electronic equipment damage and facilitates the elimination of electrostatic charges from the surface of the fabric.

FR REFLECTIVE TAPE

FR-Silver Reflective tape offers excellent flame retardant protection.

LIMITED FLAME SPREAD ISO 15025:2016 METHOD A STANDARD ISO 11612:2015 A1

In the event of an incidental exposure to flame, the fabric will not ignite, create a hole or melt.

SMALL MOLTEN METAL SPLASH ISO 11611:2015

Able to withstand a minimum of 25 drops of small molten metal splash on the fabric.

RESISTANCE OF MATERIALS TO PENETRATION BY LIQUID EN 14325 REPELLENCY & PENETRATION INDEX: 3 STANDARD EN 13034:2005+A1:2009

The fabric has a Class 3 repellency that is greater than 95%. Including Class 3 penetration that is less than 5% for at least four different t ypes of liquid chemicals. L iquid chemicals: H2SO4 NaOH C8H10 C4H10O.

CHARGE DECAY EN 1149-5:2018

The time needed to dissipate a certain percentage of charge induced on the surface of material is less than 4 seconds.

This is a guideline, not a standard. It is an industrybased document that has been set up by the Energy Network Association (ENA) and addresses a minimum performance level of clothing against electric arc hazards that may be encountered during the operation, construction and maintenance of electrical apparatus within the National Electrical Network Supply (NENS).

NFPA 70E®, STANDARD FOR ELECTRICAL SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE®.

The focus of NFPA 70E is more about protecting the employee who is put at risk of an injury from electrical hazards. It is a standard to help employees and employers address the right levels of safety within the workplace.

NFPA 2112

NFPA 2112 is intended to be referenced by those responsible of purchasing industrial FR work clothing. The standard provides a minimum requirement for personal protection when used in areas at any risk of short-duration thermal exposure from flash fire.

The focus of NFPA 70E is more about protecting the employee who is put at risk of an injury from electrical hazards. It is a standard to help employees and employers address the right levels of safety within the workplace.

Employers must therefore be knowledgeable of the requirements. We are providing a guide of what those levels of protection are and recommend employers to read and understand the actual requirements of NFPA 70E® , to ensure the appropriate level of safety is adopted.

Arc rated clothing that is designed for the protection against electrical hazards must have a High Risk Category (HRC) between 1 and 4. The higher the HRC the greater the protection.

High risk categories are determined through Arc Thermal Protection Values (ATPV), and those values define an Arc Rating. An arc rating is expressed in Calories/cm2 (Cal/cm2).

The higher the Cal/cm2 number, the greater the protection.

› HRC1 = ATPV minimum 4 Cal/cm2

› HRC2 = ATPV minimum 8 Cal/cm2

› HRC3 = ATPV minimum 25 Cal/cm2

› HRC4 = ATPV minimum 40 Cal/cm2

ENA NENS 09-2014 National Guideline for the Selection Use and Maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment for Electrical Arc Hazards.

This is a guideline, not a standard. It is an industry-based document that has been set up by the Energy Network Association (ENA) and addresses a minimum level of clothing against electric arc hazards that may be encountered during the operation, construction and maintenance of electrical apparatus within the National Electrical

Network Supply (NENS). ENA NENS 09-2014 is a guideline through a hierarchy of controls to assist employees and employers in making a knowledgeable decision of which clothing to select that provides the minimum level of protection against an arc flash event. It only applies to workers within the electricity supply industry who are required to work on or near low and high voltage electrical apparatus in Australia.

According to the guidelines garments which are considered as outer wear but may be worn in direct contact with the skin are base garments. A base garment is a coverall, a long-sleeved shirt and a trouser. The recommended minimum ATPV for base garments is 4 Cal/cm2 . HRC1 Employers will need to be knowledgeable of the requirements and study the actual requirements of NFPA 70E® , to ensure the appropriate level of safety is adopted for their employees.

NFPA 2112 Standard on Flame-Resistant Clothing for Protection of Industrial Personnel Against Short-Duration Thermal Exposures from Fire.

NFPA 2112 is intended to be referenced by those responsible of purchasing industrial FR work clothing. The standard provides a minimum requirement for personal protection when used in areas at

any risk of short-duration thermal exposure from flash fire. Therefore, employers must be knowledgeable of those requirements. We recommend employers to read NFPA 2112 standard, to ensure the appropriate garments are chosen.

It provides information about design, construction, evaluation, and certification of materials used in the manufacturing of FR garments. It is not intended to provide personal protection against wildland f irefighting, technical rescue, structural firefighting, proximity f irefighting, or any other f irefighting operations or hazardous materials emergencies.

A - NECK

Measure around your neck at collar level. Keep one finger between the measuring tape and neck.

B - CHEST

Standing naturally, measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape at under arm level. Keep one finger between tape and body.

C - WAIST

Measure around waist keeping one finger between tape and body. Measure at the navel.

D - INLEG

Measure the inside leg from the crotch to top of the heel of the shoe.

Standing naturally, measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping tape under arms and around shoulder blades.

J - WAIST

Measure around the smallest part of the child’s waist, keeping one finger between tape and body.

K -HEIGHT

Standing with feet together and back to a wall. Measure from heel to the top of the head.

FEMALE

E - BUST

Standing naturally, measure around the fullest part of the chest / bust, keeping the tape at under arm level.

F - WAIST

Measure around the waist, placing one finger between tape and body. Measure above the naval, at the narrowest part of your waist.

G -LOW WAIST

Measure around the waist, placing one finger between tape and body. Measure 4cms below your navel.

H - HIPS

Standing naturally, measure around the fullest part of the hips. Keeping the tape level and straight. Placing one finger between tape and body.
