WELCOME TO STREETND! Street style has undoubtedly gained strong significance in the fashion industry over the past few years. It is a social driver of our era that has become a crucial reference for designers to understand the direction contemporary fashion is taking, as well as a substantial research tool for creating successful collections that cater to all types of consumers. With that in mind, our creative team has come up with STREETND. The title has been conceived as a neologism so as to match our times. After all, isn’t it about mixing and blending everything up? We launch our first issue with street shots taken in London and Paris. They have served as an inspirational trigger for our design investigators to delve into a more complex universe surrounding a particular image. Our goal is to provide fashion designers with the most updated info on colours, shapes, fabrics and materials. We take into account that fashion derives among shoes and dresses to a wider range of elements. Our Spring/Summer 2015 issue has a very romantic approach on fashion. Looks like pink tends to be the trendiest shade in everyone’s closets for the upcoming seasons. This book is aimed not only at designers, but any creative professionals who wish to be up-to-date with fresh and substantial visual information. Enjoy it to the fullest. Our next issue is just around the corner.

The STREETND team.

The 50’s fashion included cinched waists and full skirts. The circle skirts also known as “poodle skirts” was a 50’s craze. The circle skirt would be knee length. To incorporate the 50’s romantic style into current looks circle skirts can be any length. Pastel pinks, blues and yellows were popular for these skirts in the 50’s. Pair this look with a tucked in shirt.

Get ready to hit the dancefloor or big time festivals on fluid and comfortable fabrics. Add a bit of shiny sophistication with lurex, metal buckles and studs. It’s sleek, fierce, stunning and just exudes originality and character.

LONDON

From glam rock to punk, from boho to disco, the 70’s saw the birth of an enourmous array of iconic fashion styles. And they all came here to stay. For the disco look, think of Bianca Jagger’s making fabulous entrances at Studio 54. Add a contemporary interpretation that takes after the comfortably loose pijama outfit, which has been already spotted at Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. The maxi clutch is certainly a plus. Or go for the fluffy cashmere sweater and mini chambray skirt adorned with heavy leather accessories, literally taking on punk.

CLASSIC

LONDON

THE SCENE

ON THE STREET The romantic classic look is one that will always be in style. With simple and flattering silhouettes it’s a look that can be done many ways. Contrasting soft colours and lines with a bold necklace or a darker colour is a way to make this look unique. Give it a 60’s twist with a Brigitte Bardot inspired hairdo. If you wish to keep it casual and cool, accessorize with oversized deep black Ray Bans.

THE SCENE

ON THE STREET At first one would say there’s not much going on with these girls’ outfits. But it does take a lot of effort to look effortlessly chic, especially when you take on such a girly and sweet reference to create a contemporary look that borders on manliness. Straight lines and slightly oversized silhouettes are key elements to this theme. And absolutely no heels if you want the look to be casual and unpretentious. But attention to details is crucial: subtle transparencies, laces and a bit of pattern here and there brings the necessary female approach.
