WEATHER...page 17

A great weather weekend is shaping up for the Tri-Lakes!

By K.D. Michaels Staff Writer Branson’s popular gospel group Oh Happy Day will hold a special Area Appreciation Show this Wednesday. Oh Happy Day has been called a supergroup of talent. Made up of four extremely gifted vocalists -- Kim Boyce, Gary Koreiba,

Allen Asbury, and Debra Paxton --it’s easy to see how Oh Happy Day was voted Gospel Group of the Year by The Terry Awards. Boyce, a nationally known Contemporary Christian Artist, had 11 songs that hit number one on the Christian charts. A former Miss Florida, Kim is also a brilliant motivational speaker and au-

thor. Locally, she was a featured vocalist with Pierce Arrow before forming the group Oh Happy Day, along with her husband Gary Koreiba. Gary’s voice was prominent on the popular Gaither Homecoming video series, and he served as a background vocalist for gospel great Russ Taft. SEE OH HAPPY DAY, PAGE 3

By K.D. Michaels Staff Writer For 21 years, Branson’s Amish Country Store has attracted tourists and locals alike, who enjoy shopping for homemade, all natural foods. But, this unique market offers far more than just Amish made food items. As you walk the aisles of the Amish Country Store, you will notice a variety of food items, such as homemade jams and jellies, pickles, soup mixes, dip mixes, spices and seasonings, nuts, candies, pancake mix, biscuit mix and so much more. Beyond that, there is quality cutlery, baking necessities, canning supplies, and a sampling of Amish clothing and furniture. There is even a large selection of Heirloom seeds for gardeners. All of the items sold are either Amish made or Amish quality, according to manager Matt Hayes. “Most of our items are Amish made. Most products are out of Pennsylvania or Ohio,” said Hayes. “But, we do work with people in Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Missouri. If there isn’t an Amish product available, we will find the next best thing, a family made product, like our coffee. We offer Branson Blend Coffee, because there are no Amish who roast coffee.”

Branson police announce new ‘Vitals’ app-based service Submitted to Branson Globe BRANSON, Mo – The Branson Police Department is announcing the launch of “Vitals,” a new app-based service that will allow Branson Police Officers to better interact with residents or guests who have special conditions or disabilities.

This program uses Bluetooth technology to alert police if they are in the vicinity of any Vitals enrollees. If they are in the vicinity of a Vitals enrollee, important information like medical information or behavior triggers will be pushed to the officer’s smartphone. This will help them

de-escalate or resolve a situation by providing a response catered to a person’s specific needs and vulnerabilities. “We get a lot of visitors. When we respond to suspicious person calls, we really have no idea what a person might be going through. Vitals will give us that informa-

tion immediately that will ensure compassionate and successful interactions,” said Branson Police Chief, Jeff Matthews. This program is being funded by the local Viet Nam Veterans group, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 913 who realized the importance of a service

like this that is effective for any special needs, including war heroes who may have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). “Having Vitals is like having an expert co-responder with you to de-escalate situations and minimize an officer’s use of force,” SEE VITALS, PAGE 4

Koreiba was also the lead singer of Branson’s Pierce Arrow Show. Allen Asbury is well known in the Branson area for portraying Peter in the acclaimed show The Promise. Also a Contemporary Christian Recording Artist, Asbury received much acclaim for his hit song “Somebody’s Praying Me Through”, which was the National Day of Prayer theme song, and the theme for the Presidential Prayer Team. Debra Paxton is an amazing drummer and vocalist, as well as a songwriter. She began playing drums at the age of nine, in her father’s studio. Paxton is the daughter of rock and roll and gospel legend Gary S. Paxton. The Oh Happy Day show inspires

and uplifts audiences with a variety of classic gospel songs, hymns, and inspirational numbers. Two young comedians add just the right mix of humor to the show, making this one of Branson’s most popular gospel productions. What began as a free evening show each Sunday at Grace Community Assembly Church, Oh Happy Day is now enjoying their 5th season as one of the area’s favorite morning show. Oh Happy Day will be venturing off of their typical morning schedule to perform a one-night only area appreciation show, which will be free to the public. “Everyone we’ve spoken to in the Branson entertainment and tourism industries have suffered huge losses this season,” said Gary Koreiba. “We haven’t even opened our regular season shows yet because of the impact of Covid-19 on our area. As

LOCAL a result of this impact everyone we know has suffered financially, both personally and professionally, so we wanted to do a community outreach to offer the hope and encouragement of gospel music to anyone who wants to come and hear some good news.” Kim Boyce added, “I’m so happy to know that we have an Oh Happy Day show coming up! I really need to sing these classic gospel songs. They get me through hard times.” Oh Happy Day will open their regular season shows on September 23 The special Area Appreciation show is set for Wednesday, September 9, at 8:00 pm, at the Hughes Brothers Theatre. Tickets are free, and donations will be accepted. Due to social distancing, seating is limited, so reservations are encouraged. Please call 417-334-0076 to reserve your seats.

C of O to host homecoming and commencement virtually By Cindy Thomas Staff Writer POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — To ensure the safety of its campus community during the pandemic, College of the Ozarks will host its Homecoming and Baccalaureate/ Commencement activities virtually this year. Homecoming will be Nov. 5-7 and Baccalaureate/Commencement on Nov. 8. Dr. Eric Bolger, vice president for academic affairs and dean of

the College, said the primary factor in the decision to have a virtual graduation was student safety. College administrators work closely with local health authorities and follow the guidelines of the CDC to inform decisions. The virtual format will allow for alumni, graduates, and others to participate in these activities safely and without the need to travel. “At this time, COVID-19 is still prevalent in the local community

and region,” Bolger said. “The College is doing all it can to keep the virus from campus, including putting restrictions on students and other members of the campus community.” Additional details about both events will be communicated soon, as college administrators are planning what the baccalaureate and commencement services will look like. They gave of themselves in ways great and small while on campus with us for four years, and now we are confident they will enter their communities as citizens of Christ-like character who are well-educated, hardworking, and patriotic. said President and CEO of Vitals™ Aware Services, Janeé Harteau. “We are pleased to expand to Missouri, and commend the Branson Police Department for being the first in the state to sign on.”

“This graduating class has had to deal with significant disappointment due to the pandemic. My prayer is that God will use the unique challenges they have faced to produce in them endurance, character, and hope, as Paul writes in Romans 5:3-5, and that these traits will help them to be successful as they move into their careers.” Angela Williamson, director of alumni relations, has been monitoring the situation with COVID closely while planning Homecoming events. “Our Homecoming tradition will continue in an abbreviated way this fall, with virtual events offered online Nov. 5-7,” Williamson said. “Since many had planned to return to celebrate milestone reunions, we will honor reunion years ending in ‘0’ and ‘5,’ along with the other designated reunions, at Homecoming 2021. Although our on-campus festivities are cancelled, we look forward to celebrating friendships from a distance as we celebrate Homecoming 2020 – Your Time to Shine.” This program is available now for anyone who would like to sign up. Mayor’s Moment: a message from Mayor Edd Akers to the community

First Amendment to the United States Constitution Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Dear Branson Community, Another great week in Branson and the Ozarks has come and gone. As we move from August to September, I can already see the beauty of the fall colors starting to grace the ridges. We had another busy week in city hall. One key event was the continuation of the 76 Entertainment Community Improvement District (76ECID). As the Chair of the group, Gail Myer continues to lead this project with a focus on mak-

ing Highway 76 more accessible,

attractive, and safe for our citizens and visitors. Thank you to the CID Board for their foresight and concern for our community. We also conducted a special Board of Aldermen Study Session on September 3, 2020, to discuss Branson Municipal Ordinance 2020-0072, pertaining to face coverings, public spaces, and the spread of communicable diseases. This ordinance went into effect on July 31 and is set to expire on September 8.

We will have a regular Board of Aldermen meeting on September 8 to make a decision regarding this ordinance. I want to thank the city staff, local healthcare experts, and tourism and marketing experts who provided us a wealth of information during the Study Session to help us make a truly informed decision. You can watch a recording of the Study Session as well as watch the livestream of the September 8 Board meeting online at www.bransonmo.gov/ livestream. I read a nice article on Forbes. com this week titled “10 Affordable Lake Towns to Buy a Waterfront Property.” As you can guess, we made the list, coming in at number two. The author of the article highlighted Taneycomo and Table Rock Lakes as great locations for fishing and boating with reasonably priced real estate. It is always nice to see people outside of Branson recognize the beauty of our area. This article is a good read. I would like to take a moment to thank the Branson Chamber of Commerce and CVB for the great work they are doing, especially with a focus on the future. Most people are drawn to Amish made products because of the quality. “People will ask what is the difference between a $4.50 jar of jam in our store and a $2 jar in the grocery store.” said Hayes. “Our jam is real fruit, no corn syrup, no high fructose corn syrup. So there’s a big difference in quality.” Because the items sold in the Amish Country Store are homemade, they come without things like the fear of insecticides, according to Hayes. Some items are even gluten free. “We’re not really a health food store, but some of the folks we deal with have always been non-GMO and spray free.” said Hayes. “They’ve actually started re-marketing their items to say that, since it’s become so important recently. We also have a lot of items that are Gluten free or dairy free.” Also popular with the health-conscious is local honey. “Our family has our own honey company here in the Ozarks.” said Hayes. “We keep our bees and everything up in Seymour. We’re called Lucky Bee Honey. We do regular honey, and honey with a comb. It’s actual local honey, not blended. We sell it to about 20 grocery stores, as well.” While the Amish Country Store attracts mostly tourists, there are a num-

bransonglobe.com ber of local shoppers who visit on a regular basis. Said Hayes, “We have milk, eggs, butter cheese. So, even though our mainstay is tourists, we have almost everything that a local would need.” Another popular item is the fabulous frozen meals, made by a Mennonite community in Tennessee. “We have wonderful meals like lasagna, meatloaf, spaghetti bake, things like that,” said Hayes. “All stuff that is homemade, and good quality. Our frozen fried pies are very popular, and so are our cinnamon rolls.” An added bonus is a selection of Louisiana-based or Cajun-themed items, since Hayes and his parents, Terry and Darlene Whalen, who own the store, relocated to Branson from Louisiana. The Amish Country store does have a website, www.amishcountrystoreonline.com which is very popular. However, Hayes noted that, while the website offers about 1,000 items, there are more than 6,000 selections to choose from inside the store. “We carry a wide variety for everyone, whether they just want to splurge on some candy or need household essentials,” said Hayes. “We believe that everyone should have access to delicious, Amish made foods.” The Amish country store, located at 3100 Gretna Road, is open Monday through Saturday, and 9 - 4 on Sundays.

City-wide Fall Cleanup set for Sept. 18 and 19 Submitted to Branson Globe BRANSON, Mo – The Branson Public Works Department will conduct its annual Fall Cleanup on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19. This is a service the city offers at no cost to help residents properly dispose of large unwanted items that are not typically picked up by trash haulers, and to help keep Branson beautiful. Due to COVID-19 related budget cuts, there are some notable changes to the Fall Cleanup this year. Because the city believes this is an important service for residents, the city is working to provide this service while reducing the cost to taxpayers. This year, residents are asked to take their old furniture, scrap metal, brush and limbs directly to the Cooper Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant, located at 2855 Fall Creek Rd., between Friday, September 18 and September 19 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Verification of Branson residency in the form of a driver’s license or water bill will be required. Here are some things to keep in mind when dropping off items: • Garbage normally collected by private refuse haulers will not be allowed.

This service is available to individual residents of Branson, but not for businesses or commercial entities. • No more than one dump truck load of limbs and brush will be allowed from any one residence. • Items such as tires, batteries, leaves, including paint, stain or cleaning supplies will not be allowed. • BAGGED LEAVES will not be allowed. The nearest option to dispose of green waste is Hansen’s Tree Service (417-272-8733) in Reeds Spring. • TIRES will not be allowed. Those can be taken to the Taney County Transfer Station (417-336-6589). • ELECTRONICS will not be allowed. Those can be taken to Best Buy of Branson (www.bestbuy.com), Tantone Industries (417334-7447), or Computer Recycling of Springfield (417866-2588). For any questions about the 2020 Fall Cleanup, call the Branson Public Works & Engineering Department at 417243-2730.

Send a birthday greeting to the oldest living World War II vet in the U.S.

Vinny waves good-bye to his toys. (Photo by Sean Donnelly, SWNS)

Boy recreates scene from Toy Story to mark his first day of school Good News Network A boy’s first day at school has gone viral ‘to infinity and beyond’, after he recreated the iconic goodbye scene from the Toy Story movie to mark the occasion. Obsessed with the Pixar film, Vinny Donnelly has collected all of the toys featured in the movie, including Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Mr. Potato Head. The 4-year-old stood all the toys at the front door of their home in Leicestershire, England to ‘wave’ goodbye to their buddy on his first day at school. Vinny’s dad took the photo which echoes the tear-jerking scene in Toy Story 3 when Andy finally leaves his toys behind as he heads off to college. It obviously struck a chord for many. Since posting the heart-

warming images on Facebook this week, tens of thousands of people across the world have liked and shared them. His mom and dad are super proud of him, but admitted, “He isn’t that fussed.” “Lots of people found it emotional and said it made them cry, but I wanted it to look like his future was bright. It’s been quite tough for all children really this year.” “If you’ve got kids, you know that feeling,” said the 32-year-old dad, Sean. “Just starting school for Vinny has been strange for him. Fortunately, he is loving it so far. The Loughborough family plans to blow up the photo and put it on Vinny’s wall as the best back-toschool photo of all time.

Good News Network In a week’s time, the United States’ oldest living American to have served in the Second World War is going to turn the grand old age of 111. To help him celebrate, the National World War II Museum is asking people from all around the world to send him a birthday greeting. So what is life like for a 110-yearold? If you’re Lawrence Brooks— who in the early 1940s was stationed in the Pacific as part of the 91st Engineer Battalion—you spend lots of time doting on your five children and five stepchildren, your 12 grandkids, and an incredible 23 great grandchildren. If you’re Lawrence, you also love celebrating your big day with others at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. On those jubilant occasions, there’s live music. There’s cupcakes. It’s a fun day for all. But because of the pandemic, on his birthday this year Lawrence won’t be able to celebrate with lots of others.

Brooks’ story, perhaps it’s time to find that stash of letter paper, your fanciest pen, and celebrate by sending the veteran a card? Here’s the mailing address you

can send your birthday greeting to: The National WWII Museum c/o Happy 111th Mr. Brooks! 945 Magazine St. New Orleans, LA 70130

Happy writing! And be sure to check out the National World War II Museum’s social media on September 12 for a special birthday video.

Lawrence Brooks. (National WWII Museum) Luckily, the museum has come up with a novel idea for Lawrence’s September 12 birthday this year: Well-wishers can send the supercentenarian a birthday card the old-fashioned way: by mail. Lawrence, who lives with his daughter in New Orleans’ Central City neighborhood, reflected on his long and interesting life to National Geographic. And he gave a few words of wisdom. Eat right. Stay healthy. Most importantly? ”Be nice to people.” Now you know a little of Mr.

Lawrence Brooks and friends celebrate his 110th birthday at the National WWII Museum. (National WWII Museum)

Bride and groom didn’t just donate wedding food to the homeless, they served it too Good News Network Wedding Reception 101: Celebratory toasts are made. A meal is served. The cake is cut. The bride and groom share their first

dance as a married couple, soon to be joined by anyone who feels like kicking up their heels. As the event draws to a close, the bride tosses her bouquet and the couple

heads off for their honeymoon— all to the accompaniment of endless picture taking. Then COVID-19 arrived and changed all the rules.

This past July, when Tyler and Melanie Tapajna of Parma, Ohio decided to opt out of their plans for traditional nuptials in light of coronavirus concerns, they came up with a creative alternative that was truly inspired. The Tapajnas contacted their caterer, Betty’s Bomb Ass Burgers, but rather than looking for a refund, they asked owner Lena Brown if it would be possible to take the money from their reception and turn it into meals at a local homeless shelter instead. Having already contacted Laura’s Home, a local shelter for homeless women and children, with an eye toward making a contribution, the couple left Brown to coordinate a kid-friendly, cafeteria-style menu with the Laura’s Home kitchen manager. Their only request? They wanted to help serve the food themselves—on their wedding day. After exchanging vows in an intimate August 15 ceremony attended by family and close friends, the couple—still in their wedding gear—headed to Laura’s Home. The bride swapped her veil for a hairnet (the groom wore one as well). Both suited up in face masks and food-service gloves, then stepped behind the cafeteria counter to help dish up the kind

of heartwarming meals that gave a whole new meaning to “service with a smile.” “It’s not unusual for us to have meal donations at our facilities,” Rich Trickel, CEO of The City Mission which oversees operations at Laura’s Home, told TODAY. “What made it completely special is that from their wedding ceremony, Melanie in her beautiful gown and Tyler in his tux, put on a hairnet and gloves and served the guests… I mean who does that? [It’s] an unbelievable act of generosity and compassion.” Tapajn, who says she and her husband have been making charitable donations as a couple since first meeting at a friend’s wedding in 2016, was happy to report their catering budget turned out to be substantial enough to feed shelter residents for several days. But according to the bride, that wasn’t the best part. “I asked Tyler what his favorite part of our wedding and he told me it was the amount of smiles that it brought,” Tapajna told TODAY. “Not only was it the women and children, but the volunteers and workers [who] were happy to see everyone enjoy themselves… Of course, getting to marry my best friend was one of my favorite parts.”

Animal owners can now wear face masks adorned with their pets’ faces - how fun is that? Good News Network Animal owners can now wear face masks adorned with their pets’ mouths. And the results? They’re fun, sweet, and often hilarious. Dogs And Dorks, an Etsy shop (www.etsy.com), will print a mask with the snout of your beloved dog or cat and has already sold 100 of the personalized items in just three weeks. Danielle Schule, who owns the shop with her friend Denise Smandych, said she was inspired by her dog Ragley’s crooked teeth. The operations manager from Calgary, Canada, said, “I was staring at my computer and my Boston terrier smiled at me. “I snapped a picture of him, his teeth are so gross and funny and I decided to put them on a mask.” The fun face coverings have

proved popular and orders have flooded in. Delighted customers even send Danielle pictures of them wearing the masks beside their bemused pets. “They make people laugh,” Danielle said. “I have received a lot of requests because it makes it more fun for the kids to wear masks.” And it’s not just cute pups

and sweet kittens being printed onto masks. One snake owner even asked for a mask printed with the fangs of his pet reptile. “He sent us a fantastic picture and we did it and he was ecstatic.” The masks cost $15 [$20CAD] and owners supply their favorite picture of their

pet for Danielle to use. She added that she hoped the amusing masks will make more people inclined to wear them. “If we can create something that makes mask-wearing a bit more fun, we want to do that.” (All photos for this story courtesy of SWNS)

Their advice for a long-lasting marriage? “The secret formula = love + maturity + mutual respect,” the couple told Guinness World Records. “It is true that at this time it is difficult because we are overwhelmed by the pandemic that affects the world and we still do not have a solution. However, the first step for us to follow the rules with respect and love the life.” “Respect and love the life.” That sounds like just the right words to live by right now.

bransonglobe.com Good News Network The combination of interruptions in international travel and periods of heavy rainfall has led to Kenyan wildlife officials reporting a recent elephant baby boom. In Kenya’s Amboseli National

Park, 140 elephants were born in a single calving season–a record in this park known for its breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro and the savanna. “It has been a difficult year for all of us but there is still much to celebrate,” said Winnie Kiiru, speaking for the El-

ephant Protection Initiative in a statement. “Here in Amboseli, elephants are thriving. 140 beautiful calves have been born in 2020 and more are expected.” In fact, it’s a culmination, of sorts, for the country’s pachyderms. The

Kenya Wildlife Service reported on Wednesday that, since 1989 the nation’s elephant population has more than doubled. This is in part because authorities in the past couple of years have “managed to tame poaching in this country,” reports

Tourism & Wildlife Minister Najib Balala. The announcements corresponded with World Elephant Day on August 12—and included the very special news that two of the newborns were twins, a rarity among the species.

Photographer captures his passion for the flight of the butterfly Good News Network A dedicated wildlife photographer has spent three years amassing a stunning collection of images of the UK’s most beautiful butterfly species— some of which he took right from his backyard during lockdown. Andrew Fusek Peters has captured the series of colorful shots after studying the behavior of butterflies in the British countryside since 2017. Incredible photographs show 17 different species of the winged insects in full flight or taking off from flowers across

Worcestershire and Shropshire. Andrew says he took over 150,000 frames to achieve his

unique collection of images and believes he is the first person to shoot such a variety of butterfly species. His photos include everything from the painted lady, green hairstreak, marbled white, silver studded bleu, and red admiral, to the dark green fritiallary and Essex skipper butterflies. The 54-year-old from Lydbury North said, “I’ve spent three years studying the behavior of UK butterflies and working to capture them in motion. It was worth the effort to show their incredible delicacy and beauty in flight… quite a lot

during lockdown were in my garden. “I’m using a very high speed camera to shoot the butterfly in flight and it also requires understanding and knowledge of when the butterfly is going to take off. “There are very few shots like these in the world because there are very few people who can capture a butterfly in focus as it takes off from a flower. “I shoot at 50 frames per second and I haven’t got them in a studio. I’m out in the wild and I’m able to get up close and personal. “My favourite is the Brimstone because of its beautiful, buttery colour. They say the word butterfly from Old English comes from the color of the Brimstone. In my image, “you can actu-

ally see the shadow of the proboscis, which it uses to drink nectar from a flower. It is extraordinarily clear. “The wood white is quite rare and an extraordinary color and beautiful in flight. “The clouded yellow is fairly rare and flies over from Europe, but what’s super rare is to get them all in flight. “My next big project will be to take flight shots of every single one of the UK’s butterfly species. I’ve set myself a mad challenge as there’s been 71 recorded in Britain. “I think that will take another five years and require a lot more travel across the entire country.” (All photos by Andrew Fusek Peters, courtest SWNS)

New Hampshire 16-year-old swims English Channel

(AP) A 16-year-old from New Hampshire successfully swam across the English Channel, completing a 33-mile (53-kilometer) swim by reaching a sandy beach in France after darkness fell. Vera Rivard, of Springfield, left Dover in the United Kingdom around 9:30 a.m. and arrived on a beach near Calais, France, just before midnight on Tuesday. She crossed “roly-poly” waves in 64 degrees Fahrenheit water, accompanied by a pilot boat affiliated with the Channel Swimming Association. Her mother and younger sister were aboard as her crew. “I tend to get a little happier when the waves get a little choppy,” Rivard told The Associated Press. “I kind of get a little spark in my eye.” The swim took her more than 14 hours, and she is the second American to cross the channel this year, the Valley News reported. “As she leaves the beach in England for her English Channel attempt, I will be the proudest parent ever! Not if she finishes, not how fast she swims, but that she was brave enough to start,” Rivard’s mother, Darcie DeBlois-Rivard, wrote beforehand on Facebook. Rivard completed her first 1-mile (1.6-kilometer) open water swim at the age of 10 in Vermont, and worked up to a 25-mile (40-kilometer) swim that crossed the Canadian border two years ago, she said. After that, she booked a slot to swim the English Channel and has been training ever since in both the United States and Ireland, she said. She said she was just happy to get into the water at the beach in Dover. “I wasn’t sure it was going to happen because of everything that is going on right now with the pandemic, and I was just so happy to

get in the water at that point,” Rivard said. In compliance with the Channel Swimming Association rules, Rivard did not leave the water or touch anyone or anything that floats for the duration of the swim. But she stopped to tread water every 45 minutes to eat an energy gel and powdered energy drink. As the sun set, she said an almost full moon rose above the horizon. “I knew I was either going to start in the dark or end in the dark because there aren’t enough hours in the day, so I put a light on the

back of my goggles so the boat can see me more easily,” she said. Rivard’s swim cost her family around $15,000, about a third of which was covered by donations and sponsorships, the Valley News reported. Rivard and her family quarantined for two weeks before her swim in Dover. She completed a long-distance swim around Manhattan island in July and hopes to swim a third major open water course to Santa Catalina Island off California — the third in a “triple crown” of long distance swims — at some point in the future.

Ready for fall-like temps to stick around? By Daryl Weather, Weather Forecaster Here’s hoping everyone is having a great holiday weekend here in the Branson area. Temps have been a bit on the warm side this weekend but cooler

temps are on the way by mid week! Today and Monday both look to be fairly nice days with partly to mostly clear skies. There is a slight chance for showers today but I think most places will remain dry. Monday looks to hold a mix of sun

and clouds and temps in the upper 80’s to lower 90’s If you are a fan of cool temps then you will be happy to read that the cooler temps I mentioned look to move into the area by Wednesday and look to possibly stick around

for a while. Highs for Wednesday and Thursday look to only be in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s. This is because of an unusual blast of fall like air coming from the North and over the area by Wednesday.
