From the rich luster of hand-brushed nickel to the subtle patina of authentic aged copper verdigris, we offer a diverse assortment of finish options to match your decorating ideas.
Most shades available from Brass Light Gallery are pictured in our Shade Collection catalog. Some newer shades may not be shown. Visit www.brasslight.com for the latest additions.
Please note that fixture price may vary based on finish. To request a complete set of metal finish samples please contact our sales department. To order the correct finish option, please specify the Finish Option (i.e SA or VG) when ordering.
How to Select Shades A shade option may be specified with the model number when ordering fixtures from the Continental Collection. When selecting shades, it is important that the shade fitter size matches the fixture’s shade holder. A fitter is the lip of the shade that inserts into a fixture’s shade holder. Each shade model number starts with a letter to help you match the shade’s fitter to the fixture’s shade holder.

Wattage Limitations on Fabric Shades The size and type of fabric shade you use with an electric candle fixture may change the maximum recommended wattage. All 4” diameter shades use 40 watts maximum; most 5” and 6” diameter shades use 60 watts maximum; most 9” diameter shades use 100 watts maximum.
Most Brass Light Gallery ceiling fixtures are available in any overall length. To determine the correct overall length (OAL), measure the overall distance from ceiling to the bottom of fixture as shown, below. (Measurements in full inches only; no fractions.)

Most ceiling fixtures may be ordered with an angled ceiling mount. Please contact our sales department for details.
For fixtures using alabaster cup shades, we recommend using 40 watt medium base candle-style bulbs if fixtures remain illuminated for long periods of time. Alabaster cup shades may only be used on fixtures mounted facing up.

How to order a Fixture
Many of our sconces can be modified by adding a small thumb switch for a nominal charge. Contact our sales department for details. Make sure you tell us whether you plan to mount the sconce up or down, where applicable.

Change the Shade, Change the Look Shade choice can often have a dramatic impact on the look of a fixture. Fixtures from our Continental Collection can be specified with a variety of shade options. We encourage you to look through our color Shade Collection catalog for ideas. The height listed for flush ceiling fixtures in the Continental Collection is for the fixture with Height the shade as shown in each corresponding photograph; other shade choices may vary the overall height.
Choosing Fixture Lengths Over Tables and Islands Choosing the correct fixture length over a table or kitchen island is not an exact science. Variables such as ceiling height, table or island dimensions, size and type of fixture, and personal preference can all affect the length best suited for your needs. Generally, we recommend the following:

Our Waterfall Sconces are an outstanding combination of beauty and function. These sconces can have many uses, but we designed them for mounting over bathroom mirrors and medicine cabinets. Each features a horizontally positioned backplate with two curved arms that cascade downward to provide maximum illumination.

Carlton Wall Sconces We reproduced these sconces for the renovation of an historic 1905 lakefront mansion in Milwaukee. The Carlton is a substantial yet understated sconce suited for fine quality residential and commercial interiors. It features a smooth round, beaded edge backplate cast of solid brass. Saratoga Chandeliers One of our largest chandeliers, the Saratoga provides the extra scale needed for many residential and commercial interiors. Use the single-tier over larger tables and in spaces with moderate to tall ceilings. The two-tier can be used in spaces with very tall ceilings such as entry foyers and great rooms. We provide two design options with this chandelier: the Saratoga Classical and the Saratoga Smooth. The Classical has sculpted details including a cast brass leaf canopy, matching center body leaves, and acorn finial. For less formal interiors, the Saratoga Smooth offers a clean, simple design.
