I was born in Mexico City and grew up in Hidalgo an agricultural region of the country. This duality of landscapes aroused my interest and curiosity in how to inhabit each place and how to enjoy its particular characteristics. I consider that architecture has different responsibilities in different scales: To understand, respect and integrate into the landscape, to solve the human needs of living, and to contribute with pieces that exalt life. That is why I enjoy all the scales of the project and consider them equally important. I develop architectural and urban projects from a conceptual, architectural, executive and construction supervision stage. I also like to coordinate all the engining and various specialties around the projects.

Proyecto Tic Ti

Year: Location: Status: Colaboration: Info:

2014 Atlacomulco, Mexico Non Built Gabriela Mosqueda, Daniel Eslava Career final project.

As an exploration on the topic of social housing in Mexico, this exercise seeks innovative proposals on the growth of housing, which is presented in an organic and poorly organized manner in the cities of the country. The project presents three housing prototypes adapted to different parcels. Each family develops in a different way, and this project seeks to offer an aesthetic and orderly growth of the house next to that of the family.

ACUÑA

Year: Location: Status: Colaboration: Charge: Client:

2015 Acuña City, Mexico Built Tatiana Bilbao Estudio Design Architect, Construction Resident INFONAVIT

In 2015, the city of Acuña was hit by an F3 intensity tornado. Thousands of homes were damaged and at least 100 were totally lost. We designed a prototype of housing adapted to the climate of the region and to the assigned budget. This house aims to grow and fill the gaps at the same time that families require it. The damaged public space near these homes was also re-designed and restored.

CHAPELLE INTERNATIONAL

Year: Location: Status: Colaboration: Charge: Developer:

2019 Paris, France Competition Tatiana Bilbao Estudio Project Leader Pichet

Our proposal looks to integrate harmoniously with the urban context of Paris. This building will be the last construction of the chapelle international ensemble, consisting of a base for commercial use and a 40% social and 60% free housing tower. To achieve better ventilation and lighting of the departments, two subtractions were made to the original volume which allows it to be read as two towers linked by a common core. The facade consists of two main elements, a concrete grid that provides presence and stability, and wooden panels that give movement and variety to the building.

Due to the complexity of activities demanded by the brief and the region’s difficult climactic profile, the resultant rectangular clusters each shelter specific parts of the program: underground levels for more private use with the ground and upper levels for public functions. Exterior volumes shade one another and interior spaces. The neighboring Tadao Ando building for the architecture faculty prompted us to evolve a subtler design that would avoid creating a condition of competing, dual sculptural structures. These strategies left an open ground level that could be programmed as a park or plaza.

Our proposal has two main axes to detonate the north of the historic Mexico City Downtown. The north-south axis that connects the zocalo with a new public space in the lagunilla market. And an eastwest axis to connect the plaza of Santo Domingo and the Plaza Loreto.
