JOSE MEJIA RECEIVES AWARD BY NEW HOME PROGRAMS “Every day I woke up motivated to conquer my goals. It was a daily challenge!”, he said. His professional career is based on a lot persistence, study and willpower to achieve his goals. He came from a city where he had lived his whole life, arrived in a new place where he knew no one and had to start “from zero”.

To conclude our tributes to the winners of Orlando Creative Real Estate Awards 2018 on a high note, let’s talk about Jose Mejia, winner by New Home Programs. He’s one inspiring story! Born in San Pedro Sula, a city in Honduras, Central America, Jose arrived in the United States with his family when he was little. Having lived in Minnesota for many years, his career has always been linked to sales and numbers. For six years, he worked in a mortgage credit bank, without imagining how important this experience would be for his future. It all started to change when he decided to go visit his brother in Florida. Feeling passionate about the place, he understood that there was the place he should live. With that, he returned to Minnesota to sell his belongings, left his job at the bank and went back to Florida to follow his dreams. However, like most people, the beginning wasn’t easy. During the first five months in Florida, Jose kept thinking about what he could work in to build a future for his wife and son. As he had acquired much experience at the bank he worked in Minnesota, in 2009 he decided to get his first Realtor license, a market he fell in love with and has never gotten out.

His career at New Home Programs began in 2011, being its first agent in Florida. Today, he conducts several trainings for new agents, acting as manager of the Tampa unit and serving as a “role model” to those who want to be successful in Real Estate. With his experience in mortgage credit, Jose explains that his main advantage is to be able to assist his clients with sales and acquisition, as well as in financing and obtaining credit. “For the past ten years, I’ve helped people rent, buy and sell houses. With experience in financing and digital marketing, I have a complete understanding of the Real Estate market and know what’s necessary to defend the needs of a client.”, told Jose. To him, the award event at the Orlando Creative Real Estate Awards was great to get to know other professionals in the area. Before investing money and time, one should consult knowledgeable and competent professionals, research and consider options. Over the years, our office worked with many clients who are frustrated, disappointed and many times hopeless because they invested in false opportunities.
