TRIIIO In 1958 Danish archictect Hans Bølling designed an iconic table, but it was never produced, untill now, when a close collaboration between the skilled craftsmen at BRDR. KRÜGER and Hans Bølling, has led to the launch of a remarkable series of three tables. The outcome is a celebration of the enduring qualities of classic Danish design and craftsmanship.

With its playful wooden leg construction, the tables manage to establish an almost poetic harmony between the simple and the sculptural; values that are reminiscent of the period when the first sketch emerged. The addition of tinted glass and accents of brass, gives the table a contemporary and modern feel.

TRIIIO is available in three variants:

F THE F CHAIR is a contemporary shaker chair based on the virtues of traditional craft. It carries on the folksy simplicity and honesty of the archetypical shaker chair, but with a modern comfort and a clean-cut, geometrical and minimalistic appearance.

Danish furniture artist/designer Rasmus BĂŚkkel Fex and BRDR. KRĂœGER have reinterpreted the design of the traditional shaker chair in a close cooperation and shared aspiration to explore archetypes and materials with an open mind.

The outcome is a modern ascetic take on tradition, where wooden craftsmanship and woodturning skills are contrasted with a seat constructed from industrial polyester webbing, hand-weaved to create a bespoke geometrical pattern. The seat changes character as it reflects the surrounding light while the embracing wooden backrest invites you to sit down and enjoy the chair for its simplest function and comfort.

PAULINE With its subtle details and distinct personality, the PAULINE Bar Stool tells the story of more than 130 years of craftsmanship shaped by a contemporary sensibility. Created through a close collaboration between BRDR. KRÜGER and OEO Studio, the bar stool is endowed with an inherent international feel and a timeless aesthetic.

Thomas Lykke of OEO Studio, says: “The simple construction and look of PAULINE has been accomplished by combining thoughtfulness with craftsmanship. The bar stool features some of the signature details found in our first two designs for BRDR. KRÜGER, including the characteristic bone detail observed in FERDINAND and the front legs of THEODOR, yet PAULINE maintains her own subtle personality”.

The subtle design and comfortable dimensions make it suitable for both domestic and hospitality use, from the home kitchen to restaurants and bars where uncompromising quality is imperative.

FERDINAND The vision for FERDINAND was to create a signature design that reflects contemporary sensibilities while honouring the legacy of 20th-century design. Woodturning is a key element of the structural design, a technique that combines classic craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods.

The result is a bold and distinctive design with the backrest and the frame effortlessly fusing together. With two centuries of design tradition coming together in one composition, the lounge chair is named after Ferdinand, one of the founding Krüger brothers, five generations back.

Designed by OEO Studio in Copenhagen and conceived in a close dialogue with BRDR. KRÜGER’s master craftspeople.

DESIGN HANS BØLLING 1963

THE ORIGINAL

BØLLING TRAY TABLE In 1963, Danish architect Hans Bølling took on the challenge of designing a functional and collapsible table, but without compromising aesthetics. The outcome became a symbol of playful functionalism from the Danish Modern era and a design idea that is still relevant today – a true Danish classic.

Hans Bølling’s iconic BØLLING TRAY TABLE perfectly reflects BRDR. KRÜGER’s design philosophy: crafting honest and original designs that are built to last. It is simple, yet playful, and the combined value of the function and shape that is more than just the sum of the parts.

The versatile BØLLING TRAY TABLE can be used in different ways – for example as a serving trolley, side table or coffee table. It rests on a wooden H-frame that is easily folded flat without the use of tools. The two reversible trays, can be turned around for colour variation and there is a wide range of woods and colour combinations to choose from, to enable that extra personal touch.

LUNE The LUNE LAMP features a playful fusion of traditional woodturning and modern technology. The perfectly rounded shape of the shade is made of solid oak and is beautifully complemented by the contemporary LED light source, and the result is a modern lamp with a tactile and welcoming feel.

The LUNE LAMP is the quintessence of BRDR. KRÜGER’s vision to create new and bold contemporary design icons that are deeply rooted in the family company’s passion for wood and craftsmanship.

The LUNE LAMP was designed by Norwegian cabinetmaker and designer Sverre Uhnger, who has a great fondness for woodturning. The name LUNE refers to the Scandinavian word ‘lunt ’ (warm, cosy, glowing), reflecting the basic human need for furniture that make us feel comfortable and at ease.
