Someone may be trying to persuade you in the realms of romance, but are you sure that you are not being led up the garden path? In work and business, you plans will work out exactly as you had hoped. Any further surprises that pop up now will be to your benefit. Expect to see some great personal and financial satisfaction over the coming months.
You have a natural talent for investigation and the skill to to use information to take preventative measures. Much is taking place on a deeper, subconscious level as you work through feelings, memories and issues. Events chape this into one of the most pivotal weeks of the year, especially where personal matters are concerned.
A major breakthrough regarding a very difficult situation puts you in the driving seat once again, but this time, hold onto your power and dont be so willing to give credit where it is not deserved. There are questions you should be asking yourself, but it may take time to aclimatise to all the dramatic changes that are about to take place.
The mind is a powerful thing and once you start filling it with positive thoughts, everything around you begins to change. Time to let go of the past, after all, you cant do anything about it. What is done is done and what is gone is gone. The important things is that you have learned valuable lessons and now in a position to proceed forwards and get on with living a happier life.
Youre a person of many moods and events taking place during the following weeks will certainly put you through your paces. Beware of saying something you might regret later, otherwise its 'hello roller coaster!' If you are in a difficult personal relationship, your inner strength is obvious in wanting to make something work.
You are all to likely to get overly carried away by someone who sweet talks themselves in and out of situations. A bit of dangerous flirting could get out of hand with you finding yourself deeply involved with an individual who does not do comittment. Willpower and ambition will not make your bank account grow, what you need is a plan to help things along.
You have every right to feel excited and optimistic about both your personal and working life. Someone may offer you a job that sounds interesting and pays well. You may come to the rescue of someone new on the scene who will welcome any assistance you can offer. A financial windfall will come in handy, especially if plan to do some travelling or feel the time is right to invest in property or home improvements. A niggling health problem needs addressing immediately.

You may negotiate a good financial package with someone who desperately needs your services. You can name your price and should never agree to settle for anything but the best. Someone you are acquainted with may want more from the friendship than you are prepared to offer at this stage.
Someone you have recently met may have romantic designs on you that could prove overpowering and just too much!! Take control, do only what suits you and don’t be afraid to refuse other invitations either. You may be offered a business partnership or someone may try to sell you an idea about making some big money quickly. Watch out!! It could be a scam. Stay ahead of the game and follow your gut instincts.
A strange encounter with someone new could lead to a torrid romance or complicated affair. You may discover this person has more emotional baggage tucked away than you bargained for. An old flame still refuses to let go and believes that you will have him or her back and it will be business as usual. You have other ideas and may decide to get on with organising some long overdue travel plans.
You are going to take someone at their word and challenge them to put their money where their mouth is, knowing all along that they can’t. Boardroom mind games are about to start as everyone is vying for power and attention. You may refuse to sign legal and binding contracts because your gut feelings tell you that it’s wrong.
You may ask a friend for their honest opinion or advice regarding a new business venture yet you may not like hearing the truth. Be warned, you could stand to lose a lot of money if you don’t do your homework and get drawn in to signing post dated cheques etc ., Your partner, a relative or someone you work closely with can be very demanding at times and will drive you mad with their expectations of your time.

teachers of the future...
breeze promotion
Bluecoat SCITT Alliance is an accredited School Centred Initial Teaching Training provider (SCITT). Our sole purpose is to train outstanding teachers for the future, working in partnership with many secondary and primary schools in the region. School based training (school direct) allows us to customise the training to meet the needs of both the school and our trainees, who gain practical experience from day one, and become very much a part of the school and are seen as a member of staff. It is a great way to learn and qualify to become a teacher, by offering candidates support from their future colleagues who have a wealth of experience. They will also benefit from further learning opportunities to develop their teaching skills and progress quickly into leadership positions. There are salaried, or bursary supported routes of training both lasting one year. We are looking forward to receiving applications from those individuals with the potential to be outstanding teachers. Don’t take it from us, this is what our trainees say about our programme and training ….. “All trainees are really well supported throughout their training, it is hard work but it’s worth it” “I enjoy coming together for our training day on Fridays, where we can share our experiences from our placement schools, and take away excellent advice and information that we take back into the classroom. I’ve made some great friends too!” We are part of Bluecoat Academies Trust; we offer school experience where you can get an insight into life in school spending 1 – 10 days within the Academy. VETS WARN OF NEW FATAL DISEASE AFFECTING DOGS Recently there have been cases of a fatal, ticktransmitted disease in England. It is thought that global warming has caused the disease and the particular tick that transmits it to survive better in the U.K. This tick has now been found in Nottingham! At the end of March, George Packer- head vet at Churchcroft Vets - was presented with a dog that was unwell after walking in Bramcote Woods. He examined a tick from the dog and found it to be the disease transmitting species. The dog in question is recovering well but George says: “It is only a matter of time until we have a dog infected with the fatal disease in Nottingham. We urge all dog owners to review their parasite control strategy with a vet as soon as possible. There is no single control strategy that is best for all dogs- owners need to get expert advice on what is best for their pet”. There are dozens of tick control products on the market, some good and some bad. To make sure you get the right one for you Churchcroft Vets are offering FREE parasite control consultations in April and May to get all pet owners the best advice on how to protect their pets. Call Churchcroft on 0115 922 4855 to get your pet protected ASAP.

HOW ARE YOU ? Local weight-loss expert backs government campaign to ask HOW ARE YOU ?
A weight-loss expert is calling on adults to take time out of their busy lives to think about their health and wellbeing as part of a new government campaign that says it’s never too late to make a change. Slimming World are partners in Public Health England’s new One You campaign, which aims to support adults to make simple changes towards a healthier and happier life, and provide the tools, motivational support and encouragement every step of the way. "One You is about helping adults take time out of their busy lives to think about their own health and wellbeing. As we all know at Slimming World, taking the time to pause and reflect and spend a little ‘me time’ is good for you! Because, after all, there is only one you - and it’s never too late to start making small changes. A few new healthy habits could be all it takes to live a longer, healthier and happier life." The government’s renewed focus on public health has never been more vital as around one in four (25%) adults are obese and it is estimated that, by 2034, this will increase to one in three. "As well as the serious physical
health conditions obesity can lead to – from diabetes and raised blood pressure to the increased risk of heart disease and cancer – people who struggle with their weight often experience low confidence, poor self-esteem and mental ill-health. "At Slimming World our members know how much energy and confidence losing weight gives them and they also enjoy the hidden benefits, like fewer aches and pains, lower risk of illness and improved sleep. Many of our members reduce how much they drink too.” "One You is a perfect fit for Slimming World. We know that making healthy lifestyle changes, such as improving your diet and becoming more active, can have a huge impact on your health right away. It also helps raise self-esteem and self-confidence by helping people to feel more in control of their own lives. Plus these behaviours can be passed on to the whole family, meaning the next generation grows up with healthy habits too." It’s really easy to get involved with One You. There is a link from Slimming World’s website to the ‘How are You?’ free quiz – a quick and easy quiz to help people recognise the things they can do to improve their health in the long term, from eating well to moving more

Bigamist taxi-driver, John Smith, keeps both his families (one in Wimbledon and one in Streatham) happy and blissfully unaware of each other. However, his teenage children – one girl and one boy by each wife – have met on the internet and are determined to see each other in person, especially as it transpires that they have so much in common – same surname, taxi-driver dad of the same age, etc! When it dawns on John that they are about to meet, he plunges into a hell-hole of his own making in order to keep them apart. His saviour could be Stanley, his lodger. Stanley is about to go on holiday with his decrepit old father, who turns up thinking he is already at the guest house. The ever-spiralling situation gets increasingly out-of-hand as John busts a gut to juggle with the truth. This is a great time of year for the beginning of new growth for our garden plants. Herbs This is a great time of year for the beginning of new growth for our garden plants. All of the common culinary herbs can easily be grown in a traditional herb or vegetable garden or even in a raised bed, container or a mixed border (amongst your flowers). These include popular annuals such as basil and coriander along with perennials such as mint, sage etc. Best bought as young plants if you are new to this.
breezemagazine24
Annual herbs only live through the summer and can’t be kept outside after the Autumn due to their lack of hardiness. Perennial herbs live for two or more years and often spread each year. They do die back in winter but resprout in spring. If you are new to growing your own herbs why not try getting yourself a basil plant and repotting it in slightly more compost in a nice container on your windowsill? Why basil? Well, it shows when it is not being watered enough by wilting very quickly but it also will recover when you realise your mistake and give the right amount of water. It is, in short, a good ‘trainer’ plant for you to learn on and looks and smells good too. Supermarkets sell them in small pots ready to plant these days so they are readily available. Generally, choose containers which give herbs a deep root run where they can be left undisturbed. Use a gritty, well-drained compost, adding up to twenty five percent by volume of coarse grit to a loam based compost such as John Innes No 1. A diluted solution of Miracle grow or similar occasionally can help many herbs flourish. A good general rule with herbs in regards watering is to water herbs a moderate amount every day. Some houseplants flourish with one solid watering a week but most delicate herbs require moderate and regular watering. This is especially true in hot summer months, but if you have good drainage at the bottom of your pot (at least a drainage hole, possibly rocks beneath the soil), it will be difficult to water herbs too much anyway. continued...

When it comes to using your herbs for their intended purpose don’t be so timid! With basil such a great herb to practice pruning, you can cut the plant just above a set of growing leaves. With basil, when you cut it that way, the originally trimmed stem will no longer grow. However, two new stems will grow around the original cutting, creating a ‘V’ shape. If you don’t trim basil aggressively, it will continue to grow straight up, and become too tall and top-heavy. Making your first trim approximately three to four inches above the soil will help produce a nice sturdy plant. When you are just starting out it seems tempting to pick off a few big leaves around the bottom of the plant, and let those tender little leaves at the top keep growing. This is wrong - leave those large ‘solar panels’ at the bottom alone. They provide the power for your herb's growth. Once your plant is big enough to sustain a decent harvest, keep on taking from the top, as you have been when you were pruning. That way you get all those tender new herbs that are so tasty. Some herbs die back in winter, for example mint. These and most herbs will look after themselves if placed where they cannot be frozen, saturated by rain or allowed to become too dry. Suitable places include in the rain shadow of walls, in a coldframe or even in an open fronted shed. A sheet of glass can keep off heavy rain in wet periods of the year. Stand containers on bricks to avoid waterlogging and if very cold weather is forecast, protect containers from freezing by wrapping in bubble wrap.
breezemagazine26
Bedding Plants It’s best to wait until the middle of May to plant out most bedding plants as it can still get very cold at night throughout April. Towards the end of this month you can probably get away with planting out some pansies or lobelia but don’t chance it with salvias and begonias, or indeed other more tender plants until May is nearly out, even early June. As always... Enjoy learning!

Hearing loss is a hidden problem and one which people often do not seek help for, sometimes assuming it is simply part and parcel of growing older. As an ageing population the number of people affected by hearing loss is set to soar. However there is good news; today there are really exciting hearing technologies available that have the power to transform lives.
hear to help!
Nottingham based charity, The Ear Foundation, is the place to go if you have queries around hearing loss or simply want some support or advice for yourself or someone you know. The Ear Foundation offer a variety of services supporting people of all ages living with hearing loss. In particular the Adult services at the charity are growing rapidly in order to meet increasing demands. As an adult with hearing loss there is certainly plenty of support available at The Ear Foundation. You might benefit from going along to a free Hear2Help hearing aid clinic (based across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire) where you can get your NHS aids checked, cleaned, re-tubed, have batteries supplied and receive advice and support. Or perhaps you might fancy going along to an Adult information day where you will have the opportunity to learn about a range of topics related to hearing loss, meet new people and share experiences. Alternatively book in to see our qualified Audiologist for a hearing test (in association with UK Hearing Care) or book a slot to try out some of the latest equipment that can help you in everyday life such as; phones, doorbells, FM systems and personal listeners (ÂŁ10 for session).
