KLCB volunteers help clean up the refuge

Society-Friends of the Refuge reported that 100 volunteers with Keep Lee County Beautiful showed up on Jan 14 at the J N “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel to help staff pick up debris that Hurricane Ian left behind
The DDWS extended a big thanks t o R a n g e r K a t y H o s o k a w a f o r arranging the clean up and to the volunteers from all over Lee County who pitched in to help Refuge Cleanup with a Ranger takes place on Wednesdays at 9 a m Participants meet at the Visitor & Education Center parking lot for a safety brief before traveling to the c l e a n u p s i t e o f t h e w e e k Participation is limited; preregister at DingDarling.Eventbrite.com.
