Arbor Day Youth Contest winners announced

In conjunction with the city's Natural Resources Department and Vegetation

C o m m i t t e e , t h e S a n i b e l R e c r e a t i o n Department hosted a youth contest to celebrate Arbor Day

For grades K-3, the contest was to submit a drawing inspired by Arbor Day For grades 4-8, the contests included an essay or a poem, and the topic was “Why is Arbor Day so important?”

This year's winners included:

∫ Kindergarten, coloring contest win- ner: Penelope Stewart ∫

First grade, coloring contest winner: Neil Vedvyas ∫

Second grade, coloring contest winner: Finnley Pettit ∫

Third grade, coloring contest winner: Nevaeh Towler

Fifth grade, essay contest winner: Ally Flynt
