doctrine we believe... The Bible: We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12, 13). The Godhead: We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit co-eternal in being, co-eternal in nature, co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14) The Person and Work of Christ: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (John 1:1–2, 14; Luke 1:35). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Romans 3:24; 1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3–5). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry as Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate (Acts 1:9, 10; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 9:24; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1–2). We believe Jesus is coming again to judge the living and the dead (1 Peter 4:5; Romans 14:9; 2 Timothy 4:1). The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8–11; 2 Corinthians 3:6; 1 Corinthians 12:12–14; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 5:18). Total depravity of Man: We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that through Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; man is totally depraved and of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Genesis 1:26, 27; Romans 3:22, 23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1–3, 12).
Eternal Security and Assurance of Believers: We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:37–40; 10:27–30; Romans 8:1, 38, 39; 1 Corinthians 1:4–8; 1 Peter 1:5). We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God’s Word, which clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion for the flesh (Romans 13:13, 14; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2:11–15). Ministry of Spiritual Gifts: We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowing of spiritual gifts. It is, however, the believer’s responsibility to attempt to develop their sovereignly given spiritual gift(s). The baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs at conversion and is the placing of the believer into the Body of Christ. We also believe that particular spiritual gift(s) are neither essential, nor prove the presence of the Holy Spirit, nor are an indication of deep spiritual experience (1 Corinthians 12:7, 11, 13; Ephesians 4:7–8). We believe that God does hear and answer the prayer of faith, in accordance with His own will, for the sick and afflicted (John 15:7; 1 John 5:14, 15). We believe that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to minister according to the gift(s) and grace of God that is given to him (Romans 12:1–8; 1 Corinthians 13; 1 Peter 4:10–11). The Church: We believe that the church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons (Ephesians 1:22, 23; 5:25–27; 1 Corinthians 12:12–14; 2 Corinthians 11:2). We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts 14:27; 18:22; 20:17; 1 Timothy 3:1–3; Titus 1:5–11). We believe in the autonomy of the local churches, free of any external authority and control (Acts 13:1– 4; 15:19–31; 20:28; Romans 16:1,4; 1 Corinthians 3:9, 16; 1 Corinthians 5:4–7, 13; 1 Peter 5:1–4). We recognize believer’s baptism and the Lord’s supper as scriptural means of testimony for the church (Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 2:41, 42; Acts 18:8; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26).
We are reformed theologically and are denominationally affiliated with the FEC. (www.fecministries.com)

values more about our personality
When we say style we are not talking about the dress or brand of clothes we wear but rather something deeper. It goes beyond clothing into a personality that we desire to attract and reproduce with our people. Real about God We desire to be real about Jesus and the gospel. We desire to relate Him to people in a way that they can both understand (being relevant) and respect (calling to repentance). We will not be ashamed of the God we worship, adore, and to whom we will ultimately be held accountable. (Romans 1:16) Raw about the Bible We desire to be people who submit to the Bible as the final authority in our lives. This means we will not edit out or refuse to deal with seemingly difficult texts that may offend. We stand under the authority of the Bible, and we allow God's word to re-shape our lives. (2 Tim 3:16) Relational in Ministry We know that when God created us He created us for relationship. This relationship is meant to grow and develop in a committed community of people who gather for God’s glory and scatter to share His love and truth. Thus, at Catalyst we place a high emphasis on being relationally committed. This commitment can be expressed in what we call life-on-life ministry. Life-on-life ministry is experienced two ways here at Catalyst. First in a committed small group of people gathered for the purpose of centering their lives around the person, work, and mission of Jesus (we call these Catalyst Groups). Second a smaller group of people meeting to hold one another accountable to living out the life that Jesus calls us to live.
we forare these die convictions hills we will die on
This section is dedicated to the stuff that may be debatable elsewhere but is not debatable here at Catalyst. Every church has hills they will die on and ones they will not. These are our hills: Personal Authenticity We believe God intends us to live life honestly. Not afraid to admit our flaws and fears, not pressured to pretend we're someone we're not. We believe God accepts people right where they are and lovingly moves them toward where He desires them to be. We're committed to living authentic lives with God, with ourselves, and with each other (Matthew 5:37; Romans 15:7; Galatians 6:2; James 5:16). MIssion Oriented We believe the answers for all of life and eternity are found in a restored personal relationship with God through faith in Christ. We are committed to spreading His love and message to those who don't yet know it, empowering people to express their faith confidently and naturally, and cultivating purposeful relationships with unbelievers. We are dedicated to expanding our outreach-both personally and corporately-to our friends, family, community, and world (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23). Culturally Relevant We believe God wants to reach people in ways that are meaningful to them. Our style is contemporary. We're not interested in passing fads or gimmicks, we simply want to use the clearest, most effective means possible to communicate God's message. We are committed to presenting the truths of Christianity in a creative and relevant manner without compromising the gospel in any way (Acts 17:16-34; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23). Grace Focused We believe the central, driving force of the universe and in our lives is the unmerited grace and love of God. We believe His grace alone-not our effort or accomplishment-is responsible for producing eternal life, freedom from sin and its control, and lasting change in an individual's character. We are committed to focusing on and celebrating that grace, and fostering an environment that reflects it in our lives and relationships (Romans 4:5; 5:20-21; 8:31-39; Ephesians 2:1-10).
History from LCC to Dublin Our History really is a three-fold story of desire, growing pains, and maturation. Desire In the spring of 2006 Tom Bennardo and the elders of Life Community Church had a specific desire to plant a new church out in the northwest corridor of Columbus where there had been much population growth. They began to ask specific families at LCC to pray about being part of the launch of this new church. Growing Pains From the beginnings of starting Catalyst Community Church there were many growing pains. From the leadership team to the gathering of core families to launch this new church, there seemed to be constant opposition in the form of spiritual warfare and personal sin that we needed God’s grace to overcome and grow through. After months of change and challenge, God sovereignly brought our lead pastor Bradley Reith here from Phoenix, AZ. The beginning for Bradley was rough, especially adjusting from Youth/College ministry to working with adults. Yet after much growth (by God’s grace) Bradley is maturing into the pastor God desires him to be as he serves as Catalyst’s lead pastor. Maturation These days we see God allowing us to grow and take more ground for the gospel than ever before here at Catalyst. We find new people visiting the church to see if we are a good fit for them. Our sincere desire here at Catalyst is that you find your place in and among others here as you seek to follow Jesus. We desire every person to be transformed by the grace of God from a consumer (one who comes and takes for themselves) into a worshiper (one who responds to God by giving of themselves to God and others). In all sincerity if you are looking for a cool show, a hip, trendy speaker, and a knock-your-socks-off worship band you might want to keep on looking. But if you desire to authentically grow in your love for God and others by dying to yourself, this might be the place for you.
