BREMONT ADDS TO ITS AMERICA’S CUP COLLECTION WITH A SERIES OF REGATTA TIMEPIECES A M ERICA'S CUP. B RIT ISH T IMEK EEP I N G. Building on the partnership that Bremont has with the America’s Cup and ORACLE TEAM USA, the British watch company is pleased to announce the addition of new chronograph Regatta timepieces into the collection, the Regatta AC and Regatta OTUSA models. The concept was developed through conversations with Defenders of the Cup, ORACLE TEAM USA, who stressed the importance of countdown functionality when racing. Considerable

investment has been made to develop this Regatta calibre, specially designed to be used by sailors and incorporating two unique countdown Regatta chronograph movements. The Regatta OTUSA watch movements have been designed to show a numerical 15 minute display countdown and a 5 minute start time. Furthermore, the watches have a 12 hour counter and a date function which is not only hard to integrate altogether but is also rarely seen on Regatta

movements. The Regatta OTUSA will be produced in both black and white dial variants and 235 of each watch will be made. In addition, this line bears historical significance because high-grade carbon fibre from the winning 2013 ORACLE TEAM USA AC72 yacht will be incorporated into each of the crowns. The carbon fibre, taken from the AC72 yacht foils, was used to defend the 2013 America’s Cup and defeat Emirates Team New Zealand. This victory was one

of the greatest comebacks in sporting history which saw ORACLE TEAM USA claw back from being 7 points down and just 1 race win away from defeat. The team had to win 8 consecutive races to defend the oldest trophy in international sport; they will be attempting the ‘three-peat’ in the 2017 final for the 35th America’s Cup. Jimmy Spithill, ORACLE TEAM USA Skipper; “Naturally we have a central digital clock on the boat but every sailor still likes to have the time on his wrist and before a race the countdown to the start is critical. It’s a really tough sport both mentally and physically and not only does the team need to make decisions under immense pressure but we need to have equipment that allows us to do so. With the countdown function being so crucial when racing out on the water we are really delighted that Bremont has invested in this for us and it’s incredibly special for me that the watches also incorporate some of our winning AC72 which I skippered in 2013.” The Bremont Regatta AC timepieces, available in rose gold and hardened polished steel, boast more classical styling and an adapted movement to make the countdown timer better suited to the more refined dial design. This combined with the blued steel hands and polished case options tie them in beautifully with the rest of the America’s Cup watch series. Bremont will be producing 235 Regatta AC watches in the polished steel and 135 in the rose gold. Giles English, Bremont Co-Founder; “We wanted to build a set of mechanical watches that were specifically designed for the sailing community and the Regatta function is so useful for anyone who races. Marrying functionality with design is not easy in mechanical watches, but it was important to us that the watches were built for purpose and not just for the club house. Equally we’re incredibly proud for these phenomenal athletes to be testing our watches beyond endurance in what can be one of the most challenging sporting environments.”

BREMONT INTRODUCES THE SOLO 32 LADIES CHRONOMETER COLLECTION The British manufacturer is delighted to announce the forthcoming release of its Bremont SOLO 32 Collection comprised of ladies mechanical chronometers. Whilst Bremont has prided itself for several years in producing beautifully engineered and manufactured British mechanical watches geared towards the adventurous male, it has become apparent that the British watch brand is not short of its female followers too. The Bremont SOLO 32 Collection sees the introduction of a new 32mm case and a number of new dial designs. The SOLO 32 AJ line has a more modern aesthetic with applied index markers and named in honour of one of the English brothers’ childhood heroes, Amy Johnson, who flew her DH-60 Gypsy Moth from England to Australia in 1930. Complementing this model is the SOLO 32 LC timepiece which is classic and timeless. Named after Lettice Curtis, arguably the most remarkable female pilot of the Second World War, flying a wide range of military combat aircraft with the Air Transport Auxiliary and being the first woman to qualify to fly a four-engine bomber. Bremont Co-Founder, Nick English: “A large mechanical watch, relatively speaking, has always been a striking addition to any ladies wrist, but at the same time, many women like variety and a smaller more manageable timepiece is a wonderful option to have. We are adamant that we stick

B R E M O N T. C O M / B A S E L W O R L D

to our core principles with the new SOLO 32 models. The collection will be beautifully engineered, robust mechanical chronometers with many of the watch parts being made at our Parts Manufacturing Facility in Silverstone, UK.” The mechanical BE-10AE chronometer rated and beautifully finished automatic movement will have 40 hour power reserve and will be housed in a 32mm case that is a little over 9mm in thickness. As with the core collection timepieces, the polished SOLO 32 steel cases will undergo a similar hardening treatment (2000 Vickers), providing high impact resistance but still retaining its polished surface finish. The signature coating gives the three-part Trip-Tick® watch case extreme hardness, excellent toughness, good wear and high impact fatigue resistance, a technique used widely in the aerospace industry. The convex sapphire crystal is equally as hard and has nine layers of anti-reflective coating applied to both sides of the glass for increased legibility. The high standard of finish and attention to detail seen in everything from the hand-cut and engraved winding rotor in the sapphire crystal case back to the meticulous machining of the three-part Trip-Tick® cases take considerable time and skill to apply. The SOLO 32 range of watches will be available on a variety of leather straps and a stainless steel bracelet.

Case diameter 43mm, lug width 22mm. • Polished stainless steel case back with integrated flat Inspired by the classic pilot watches from the 1940s, the current Bremont SOLO range comes in two dial variants with hardened stainless steel case.

Bremont Watch Company is pleased to announce the release of two new SOLO 43 timepieces in polished stainless steel. Designed as a classic pilot's watch, the SOLO is an obvious choice for those wanting to enter the world of Bremont automatic chronometers. The watch will be available with a handsome black dial or a smart white variant; the polished case offering an enhanced elegance to the original collection. Legibility plays a significant role in its design with the applied indexes adding a more three dimensional view together with large lumed aviator-style hands for optimum clarity. The SOLO 43 polished is housed in the classic Bremont 43mm Trip-Tick three-piece case which undergoes the same hardening treatment as other polished steel models in the core collection and is powered by the modified BE-36AE movement which can

be viewed through the exhibition case back. The watch is water resistant to 100m (10ATM), and the domed sapphire crystal has nine layers of anti-reflective coating to each side. No pilot ever forgets their first solo flight and the exhilaration as the wheels leave the runway. This feeling was undoubtedly an inspiration behind the SOLO and with it the ability to leave a long lasting impression on its wearer. Giles English, Bremont Co-Founder; “Having seen such a positive response to the polished steel watches we have introduced in other Bremont ranges, we felt it was fitting to extend the SOLO 43 line in this way. Being such a classic design it was an obvious choice that we knew would lend itself very well to this elegant finishing and we believe the result to be a pair of beautifully smart timeless watches.”

BREMONT RELEASES LIMITED EDITION CHRONOGRAPH TO CELEBRATE BOEING’S 100TH ANNIVERSARY

William E. Boeing's first aircraft, the Model 1 (pictured above), was finished on 15th July 1916. The limited edition Bremont Boeing 100 celebrates the aviation company's 100th anniversary in 2016.

Bremont is delighted to announce the release of the beautiful limited edition Bremont Boeing 100. The Boeing 100 mechanical watch, limited to only 300 units, harks back to the early days of aviation with the beloved Boeing ‘Totem’ logo proudly present on its dark vintage brown dial. In recognition of Boeing’s leading position as a commercial aircraft manufacturer, carbon fibre composite from the historically significant and technologically advanced Boeing Dreamliner flying testbed aircraft, ZA004, can be found integrated into the crown of each timepiece.

Carbon fibre composite for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The anniversary timepiece is manufactured from Boeing aviation-grade Ti 6-4 Titanium. This double vacuum-melted, age-hardened alloy was developed for the aerospace industry for superior strength, hardness and corrosion resistance. The distinctive brown colour of the Boeing 100 was inspired by a cockpit colour often used in the older Boeing aircraft called 'Boeing Brown' which was reportedly designed to make the cockpits more relaxing to be in. The hue also has that more vintage Bakelite look and feel of the older controls. On 15th July 1916, Boeing began making the impossible, possible. William E. Boeing started producing a single wooden and linen aircraft, the Boeing Model 1 float-plane, which eventually led to the revolution of how we fly over continents and oceans today. This first Boeing aircraft was assembled in a lakeside hangar located on the northeast shore of Seattle's Lake Union, close to where Boeing is still based today. The Boeing Company is now the world's largest aerospace company. Much of Bremont’s heritage and DNA is deeply rooted in aviation. Co-Founders Nick and Giles English, both pilots themselves, set out to make high quality watches of classic design durable enough to withstand any pressure an aviator’s timepiece may endure. Having been Boeing’s watch partner for a number of years, Bremont was very keen to celebrate the aviation company’s incredible history with a rather special and unique timepiece.

B R E M O N T. C O M / B A S E L W O R L D

Nick English, Bremont Co-Founder: “It has been tremendously rewarding working with Boeing on a technical level through material research, and to now twin this with the company’s enviable 100 year history is very exciting.” James Newcomb, Boeing Director of Global Brand Management: “With this wonderful partnership already in place, how better a way to celebrate this historic moment in time than with a limited edition watch? This timepiece will undoubtedly, like many of Bremont’s watches, become a piece of history in its own right.” The Boeing 100 is a mechanical GMT chronograph housing the BE-54AE chronometer rated movement. The timepiece has a 43mm hardened aviation-grade Ti 6-4 Titanium case, a beautifully coloured vintage brown dial (a first for Bremont), and is wonderfully framed by an off-white scratch-resistant sapphire bezel. The sapphire crystal exhibition case-back showcases the beautifully finished movement. When Boeing started searching for a watch partner, it was evident that they were wanting a lot more than simply a branded watch. The quality of Bremont’s work made it clear that the two companies would make ideal partners. Over the last decade Bremont has manufactured limited edition timepieces in tribute to aircraft under the Boeing Company umbrella, for example, the North American P-51. Bremont has also been working extensively with

the military; pilots serving globally from Alaska to Antarctica proudly wear Bremont watches designed and manufactured especially for their squadrons. Timepieces have been designed to celebrate flying machines like the Boeing AH-64 Apache gunship and CH-47 Chinook helicopters, the large military transport C-17 Globemaster and state of the art jet fighters like the Boeing F-15 Eagle, F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet. At any moment, a Bremont will be airborne somewhere in the world keeping precise time for its pilot owner, even in the harshest of environments. ABOUT BOEING Boeing is the world’s leading aerospace company and the largest combined manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft. With a long tradition of aerospace leadership and innovation, Boeing celebrates its 100th anniversary on 15th July 2016. The Boeing Company was born on a lake in Seattle when William E. Boeing, looked into building his first aircraft, the Model 1, a utility airplane on floats, which was finally finished in 1916 when the aircraft was tested and his company incorporated (originally as the ‘Pacific Aero Products Company’). Between world wars, the company embarked on air mail service. When Congress forced the Post Office to pay private companies to fly mail between distant cities, commercial aviation was born.

BREMONT BOEING RANGE Working with Boeing’s material research expertise and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's (AMRC) development of innovative manufacturing processes, Bremont has set a new standard in aviation timepieces. The Bremont Boeing Model 1 and Model 247 are stunning advanced designs constructed from aviation grade metals which in some cases are new to watch manufacture. Whilst using cutting edge and more modern materials, the timepieces act as classic tributes to an earlier era in Boeing’s rich history.

BREMONT RELEASES THE ALT1-C POLISHED BLACK CHRONOGRAPH The ALT1-C/PW chronograph was Bremont’s first non-limited edition polished steel watch forming part of the core collection. In a very short period of time, this chronometer has become an important and successful part of the Bremont watch range. As a natural extension of the line, Basel 2016 sees the launch of the ALT1-C/PB. This attractive chronometer has a wonderful black dial with beautifully polished applied numerals. The dial is off-set with two dark grey subtly etched sub-dials. Whilst its white dialled sibling has the exquisitely made black hour and minute hands, the ALT1-C/PB has newly designed polished nickel hands with carefully integrated Super-LumiNova® for legibility at night. As with all core collection timepieces, this polished steel case will undergo a similar hardening treatment, providing high impact resistance but still retaining its polished surface finish. The signature coating gives the watch case excellent toughness, good wear and high impact fatigue resistance, a technique used widely in the aerospace industry. Bremont Co-Founder, Nick English, commented: “The ALT1-C was the first watch we ever designed at the company’s inception all of those years ago. It has proved to be a trusty and very well loved part of the Bremont family. Complementing this signature range with the polished ALT1-C/PW went down very well indeed and we anticipate this being the same for its new black counterpart. They are certainly very handsome timepieces.”

BREMONT ADDS TO THE Z SERIES WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF THE ALT1-ZT/51 The ALT1-Z formed part of the launch collection back in 2007, and has become central to the Bremont offering over the years. Basel 2015 saw the launch of an updated version with the highly anticipated ALT1-ZT. This range was designed with aviators and world travellers in mind. Legibility was absolutely essential when it came to the aesthetic. The ‘ZT’ stands for ‘Zulu Time’ and allows the wearer to display local time together with the official world time standard. Unsurprisingly the Z chronometer has proven to be widely popular amongst the military squadrons Bremont works with - a significant and ever-increasing part of the Bremont business. The ALT1-ZT/51 adds a new dimension to the range whilst integrating a very important design cue from Bremont’s past. Bremont Co-Founder, Nick English explains; “For me the ALT1-ZT is arguably the most handsome and practical GMT chronograph we have manufactured to date. It is beautifully simple, easy to read and a watch you would happily see strapped to your wrist in 20 years’ time. One of our most iconic limited editions to date is the sought-after Bremont P-51. The heritage look and feel of this timepiece inspired many collectors internationally and it seemed fitting to pay tribute to it through the new ALT1-ZT/51.” The ALT1-ZT/51 maintains the clean legible dial with its new applied and bespoke coloured SuperLumiNova® index markers, and with the 24hr function having been moved to the bezel for improved clarity. Greater detailing around the stepped sub dials with micro lines on the ZT models has been made to give the dial more depth.

Functionally the ALT1-ZT/51 has the same features as the ALT1-ZT/BK with the integration of the Roto-Click® bi-directional inner rotating bezel. The GMT hand combined with chronograph functionality measuring seconds, minutes and hours make this model ideal for travel. For additional clarity Bremont deploys the same hand design as the MB series, including the second time zone marker, which has been so effective

on the MBIII. The ALT1-ZT/BK hands are used again but this time with several layers of bespoke coloured Super-LumiNova®. The high standard of finish and attention to detail seen in everything from the hand-cut and engraved winding rotor in the sapphire crystal case back to the meticulous machining of the three-part Trip-Tick® cases take considerable time and skill to apply.

BREMONT EXPANDS ITS MARTIN-BAKER RANGE WITH THE MBII WHITE

2016 will not only mark the 7,500th life saved by the pioneering British ejection seat technology designed by Martin-Baker, but also sees the launch of the Bremont MBII White. The bestselling MB range of watches has become iconic for Bremont and the release of this model responds to a demand for a white dialled version of the timepiece. Tested and designed in conjunction with the iconic British aviation company ‘Martin-Baker’, the MBII White offers a fresh and striking new look providing further choice to the classic collection. The new model features the distinctive knurling on the aluminium barrel inspired by components on the ejection seats and will be available in orange, green and anthracite. Equally the yellow and black loop at the end of the second hand is a direct reference to the ejection pull handle.

Nick English, Co-Founder of Bremont: “The Martin-Baker collaboration is a partnership we are extremely proud of as a company. The testing goes back many years and has led to some key technological developments in our watch design. They are an incredible British engineering success story and developing a new version of the already iconic MBII watch has been a real honour.” Andrew Martin, Martin-Baker: “We have subjected this new MBII to some exciting tests, and unsurprisingly, the watch has continued to pass with flying colours. It is a watch with a real story, a proper pedigree and we love that.” The MBII White retains the classic DNA that has made the MB a must-have for any serious collector. It has been put through the same intensive, extensive testing

B R E M O N T. C O M / B A S E L W O R L D

schedule that the ejection seats go through including shock, vibration, temperature extremes, and salt-fog tests. The robust nature of the MB is not only down to the testing, but the over engineered design. Both the movement and mechanism of the MB have been designed to ‘float’ in a controlled manner within the Bremont patented Trip-Tick® case by attaching the inner case to it via a flexible ring. In doing so, shocks to the movement are minimised and shock energy absorbed. As well as this, the inner case that encloses the movement of the Bremont MB has the function of an anti-magnetic shield. This inner case is made from soft iron and has been created to work as a ‘Faraday Cage’ making the Bremont MB immune to extreme magnetic fields, and a timepiece that has truly been ‘Tested Beyond Endurance’.

LIMITED EDITIONS Although all watches in the Bremont collection are manufactured in limited numbers, occasionally we embark on a very special project to produce something that is uniquely different and extremely limited in volume, typically due to the rarity of the materials we are working with. Whether it is the preservation of heritage or a subject that means a great deal to us, the key defining factor is our passion. Our first such project was a prime example, released in 2008 the EP120 was engineered using material from one of the most famous and iconic Spitfires flying, this wonderful plane was also owned by a friend of Nick and Giles’ father. Bremont followed the EP120 with the P-51 (far left), the Victory (left), the Codebreaker (above) and most recently the Wright Flyer. All previous limited editions have since sold out but more examples of the limited edition projects that Bremont work on can be found on our website:

BREMONT TECHNOLOGY T H E M E C H A N I C A L WAT C H Bremont is built on precise timekeeping. Only the highest quality components are used in our movements. Every watch bearing the Bremont name is chronometer-tested, then further subjected to a rigorous quality control programme. The results are all documented in detailed records securely stored at our headquarters. The only exceptions are some of our limited edition pieces, for which a stringent testing programme is well inside the C.O.S.C parameters. It goes without saying that their movements contain chronometer specification parts. Every watch in our core collection is accompanied by a performance certificate issued by the ‘Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres’ (C.O.S.C). The certificate confirms that the mechanical movement has passed each of the rigorous precision tests necessary for the chronometer designation. Watches are the most precise mechanical devices on the planet. Bremont aims to keep it that way. Our watches are subjected to rigorous testing procedures. For example, chronometer certifications take 15 days to complete over several different temperature ranges and watch positions. The average daily variation rate must be between -4 and +6 seconds. With 86,400 seconds in a single day, it means every single Bremont watch is 99.998% accurate. Our ethos is brought to life in the design, specification and quality of the materials we insist upon. For example, we only use the finest Glucydur balance wheels as opposed to the ‘elaborate’ nickel equivalent found in many high-end luxury watches. Nine layers of anti-reflective treatment are applied to both sides of the sapphire crystals. The B-EBE2000 hardening technology also makes Bremont watch cases an average of seven times harder and more scratch-resistant than its competitors. The result is a distinctive range of elegant watches. This uncompromising quality is reflected in the 3 year guarantee.

1

1 The hardened steel bezel element, containing the

sapphire crystal. 2 The central body section, consisting of a titanium

or DLC treated middle barrel. 3 The steel and crystal case back.

The separate middle section offers flexibility in both durability and design. It allows us to manufacture cases from different metals, such as titanium, to alter the watch’s weight. DLC, meanwhile, adds to the variety by using contrasting colours to distinguish between models.

Bremont Roto-Click® Many Bremont watches have been designed from a clean sheet of paper. New bezel technology designed and built in-house is now integrated into a number of models such as the MB. The bezel rotates while gliding on a series of four ball bearings. These bearings knit into the gearing of the bezel to produce a most satisfying click for every minute rotated.

2

Bremont Anti-Shock Designed by Bremont initially for the MB range of watches, our unique rubberised movement mount encloses the inner workings. A flexible ring then connects the mount to the outer case, absorbing shocks and allowing the inner case and movement to float.

3

Anti-Magnetic Faraday Cage A number of Bremont models are designed to withstand the detrimental effects of magnetism on a watch’s movement. With a limited amount of space available, this is achieved by encasing the movement in a soft-iron Faraday cage. Any potentially harmful magnetic fields are then routed around the movement. These features apply to some models only.

BREMONT TESTING

Bremont B-EBE2000 Watch Case Treatment All Bremont watches are treated for hardness with B-EBE2000 technology. During this special stage in the case production the metal is heat-treated and defused with carbon, then bombarded with electrons. The process dramatically increases the hardness and scratch resistance of the stainless steel. On the Vickers scale of hardness, for example, B-EBE2000 produces a watch case with a value of 2000Hv - approximately seven times that of the normal stainless steel used for watch cases.

Testing. It’s something of an obsession. Our first five years were devoted to it, both in the workshop and in the field. Watch parts are continually tested for tolerances, strength, hardness and finish. In fact, every single component undergoes the most rigorous quality controls and it doesn’t stop there. Each movement in our core range is independently chronometer-tested over 15 days. Once assembled in their hardened cases, the movements are then checked and tested again before being regulated by the watch makers. The watches then enter a further testing programme involving mechanical and visual inspections. Finally, chronometers are assessed for accuracy, functionality, automatic winding and water resistance.

So yes, testing is an obsession. But one that results in every timepiece leaving our workshop with a 3-year warranty. Our intention from the outset was always to design and manufacture a mechanical watch in the UK. The watch would be designed around the principles of engineering and not fashion. It would look as visually arresting in decades to come as on the day it left the workshop. And it would be equally at home in the boardroom as above the clouds or below the sea. Bremont watches have been tested beyond endurance by explorers, adventurers, extreme divers and the military. Now, it’s your turn.

Automatic Movements Bremont focuses purely on beautifully made mechanical movements. Each one is finished to the highest levels of craftsmanship, whether in a clear-backed case or not and all are guaranteed to within -4 and +6 seconds per day. For this reason Bremont is one of the few watch makers to offer a 3 year warranty on every timepiece. Bremont produces some of the finest quality watches in its price point. Super-LumiNova® Bremont carefully applies as many as 15 to 20 coats of Super-LumiNova® paint to a range of dials in our collection. It ensures optimal visibility in the poorest of lighting conditions.

Helium Escape Valve The Bremont Supermarine range features a helium escape valve. This spring-loaded single-direction valve is activated when the differential between the inner and outer pressure reaches a critical level. This results in the release of the gases trapped in the watch case. Watches with helium escape valves are pressure tested at our workshop.

Our watches all undergo a stringent testing programme to meet the highest standards before they are released with a 3 year warranty.

Proprietary Movement The BWC/01 has been part-developed and designed in Britain with our Swiss partners. A number of the key constituent movement parts are also manufactured at the company’s workshops in the UK, which is the first step for Bremont towards manufacturing movements in their entirety on these shores. Pictured here within the Bremont Jaguar MKI.

B R E M O N T. C O M / T E C H N O L O G Y

Bremont Sapphire Watch Crystals Our convex sapphire crystals come with a Mohs hardness rating of 9. That’s also the equivalent to 2000Hv on the Vickers scale. Untreated crystals can allow light to reflect back, significantly affecting the legibility of the dial. So anti-reflective coatings are vapour-deposited to both sides of the glass in a vacuum environment, reducing reflections to less than 0.5% for optimum legibility.

Bremont has built very close working relationships with military organisations around the world. As a result, we develop exclusive bespoke mechanical chronometers that pay tribute to individual units and their unique missions. It allows us to do something unlike any other luxury watch company: create mechanical watches that not only reflect our values, but also incorporate the 'DNA' of our military customers’ professions, aircraft and equipment. If sensibly maintained, a mechanical watch should last forever - unlike quartz or battery alternatives. So a quality watch is more than simply a timepiece. It is an heirloom to be passed down through the generations. Bremont’s passion for crafting beautifully engineered chronometers is shared by many of our military clients. We go to extraordinary levels to produce unique timepieces for air force, navy and army units around the world, far surpassing any other brand. VFA-102

BREMONT HERITAGE MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDERS We would like to say a personal thank you for your interest in the Bremont collection, developed to meet the expectations of those who demand more from a mechanical watch. Time began for Bremont in 2002, when we embarked on a journey to make beautifully crafted watches of exceptional quality. Inspired by a love of flying historic aircraft, of watches and of all things mechanical, our timepieces had to be tested beyond the normal call of duty - and not just in the workshop. Immensely precise, reliable and durable, Bremont watches are hand built in limited numbers; we’re proud that all are now assembled in the UK. Each is designed to appeal to those who share our passion for and appreciation of the innovation and mastery behind a beautiful mechanical wristwatch. We hope you enjoy the same satisfaction when you wear a Bremont watch as we do in creating one.

Nick & Giles English, Co-founders

BREMONT PRINCIPLES 1 British Great Britain has a wonderful history when it comes to watch making and has probably been the home to more advances in horology than any other nation. Bremont is determined to play a pivotal role in the reinvigoration of this industry on British shores.

2 Aviation

3 Engineering Bremont builds many of its own watch components at its state-of-the-art Parts Manufacturing Facility in Silverstone. As a company we verge on the obsessive in the desire to produce watches that are over-engineered for the task in hand. This passion becomes very evident when you hold a Bremont watch.

4 Adventure

The love and passion for aviation has coursed through the founders' veins from very early in their childhoods. There has always been a very close association between time and aviation since the first brave adventurers took to the skies over 100 years ago. The love of aviation and its uncompromising demands are both inherent in every Bremont watch.

A key design requisite for the timepieces from the outset was the desire to make beautifully robust and durable watches that were at home both in the workplace, and of course in rather more physical environments. The watches continue to be tested to the limits, both in the workshop but also by Bremont’s ambassadors and partners.

A BRITISH WAT C H C O M PA N Y It may surprise you to know that watch making is a very British trade. Every major escapement design and around three quarters of related innovations came from these shores. Much is owed to Thomas Tompion (1639-1713), the ‘Father of English Clock-Making’ and the remarkable Thomas Mudge (1715-1794), who invented the lever escapement still used in most watches today. John Harrison (1693-1776), meanwhile, solved the problem of accurately telling the time at sea and by doing so, in calculating longitude as well. They were followed by other illustrious names including John Arnold and more recently, George Daniels.
