Reasons of exploration
People explore for many reasons, one reason is to challenge themselves. People explore to be the first person to visit, like Roald Amundsen challenged Scott to the South Pole. People still challenge themselves and will never stop.
Rich/ Trade
Some people explore to trade or get rich like Europeans ravelled to South America. Many sailed in boats to South America, like Christopher Columbus. Sometimes explorers also brings new things from new parts of the earth like Marco Polo brung silk back to Europe. People still bring new things from other places.

Discoveries Some explorers explore to find something new. Scientists often find cures for diseases by exploring, the human or new medicines. Like Abel Tasman discovered parts of Oceania, Joseph Lister discovered the antiseptic method.

In the oldern days people used foot, camels & ships and it took ages but now, it takes 2-24 hours cause we use motor vehicles.In the 13th Century Marco
Polo used camels and some years after that in the age of exploration the conquistador they used ships, in the time of polar exploration they used big ships, life boats and on foot. More recently Neil Armstrong used a rocket to get to the moon. These days exploration is much faster.
In the olden days people wanted to explore cause of money and some challenge. Now we explore for challenges, discoveries and if your like learnt a lot about that thing and also to discover new places like Abel Tasman who discovered some parts of Oceania. They also explored for cures to diseases and new animals, and new plants.

What did people bring with them
People used to bring special clothes like a space suit and swimming suit like Neil Armstrong and Robert Ballard. They also brung their religions and food like conquistadors. One other thing they brought were like machines and that relates back to Neil Armstrong and Robert Ballard.

What are the consequences of Exploration?
The consequenc es of the conquistado rs The conquistadors were from Spain and Portugal. The Spanish and Portuguese became rich because they were traveling to South America. They brung there religion, gun powder, guns and swords. Lots of native people died from diseases. It is called 99 The Great Dying 66. Hope the conquistadors are still not alive.
