Welcome to Brent Christmas 2010 Enjoy the magic of Christmas with a range of festive events to put you in the Christmas spirit. This year we will celebrate the festive season with Christmas activities across the borough. I would like to thank everyone who has worked to deliver such an exciting programme of events for the whole community to enjoy. I look forward to celebrating Brent Christmas with you. Theatre An Angel’s Delight A festive comedy based on the Christmas story, delivered by a popular Christian Theatre company, Saltmine Theatre Company. Sunday 19th December, 7pm, Sudbury Baptist Church The Very Noisy night A magical, musical Christmas Treat for 3 to 7 year olds. Little Mouse can’t sleep, for there is something huffing and puffing outside, tap-tapping on the window, and drip-dripping nearby. Welcome to the world of a scared little mouse with a very big imagination. Inspired by the children’s story by Whitbread award-winning author Diana Hendry and illustrator Jane Chapman. Blunderbus brings Little Mouse’s overactive imagination to life using a beautifully designed set where socks leap out of drawers, curtains flap like ghosts and shadow puppets magically appear. Dance Mr Wonderful Christmas Ball Whirl around the dance floor with festive cheer with Ballroom and Latin American dance moves and enjoy the delights of a sparkling dance cabaret. Monday 20 December, 7.30pm to 11.30pm, Paul Daisley Hall, Fee: £12.50 Club Ceroc Wembley Christmas Party Be merry and learn modern jive and salsa-partner dancing in this social and friendly party. Saturday 27 November, 12.30 to 4pm, St Mary’s Church, Fee: 50p Christmas in Kilburn Late night shopping, carol singing, fancy dress competition, Christmas lights switch on, dance and more. Friday 3 December, 4pm, Kilburn Square Christmas Fair This is a festive fair with crafts, activities, Santa’s Grotto, Christmas wreath making and Christmas stalls. Saturday 4 December, 1pm – 4pm, St Mark’s Church Queens Park Winter Gathering Bring a decoration for the tree, singing, switch on of Christmas tree lights, food, stalls, Santa and more. Art workshops in advance, call for more information. Monday 6 December, 3.45pm, Queens Park La Noche Latina - Mexican Christmas Celebrations Join in Las Posadas, a Latin American celebration during the nine days preceding Christmas. Listen to the sounds of Argentinean singer Corina Piatti, learn about the traditions on the Piñata. Also buy works from Latin artists, watch video screenings and enjoy Mexican food.
