Autumn half term sports programme 2012 We are pleased to welcome you to the autumn half term sports programme for 2012. There is a range of fun and exciting sports activities which offer something for all abilities. All the activities involve Olympic or Paralympic sports with the exception of street dance, which was included in the Opening and Closing ceremonies. If you were inspired by the summer of amazing sport and the GB stars such as Mo Farah, Jess Ennis, Andy Murray or Zara Phillips then get involved! The programme runs from Monday 29 October to Friday 2 November. It includes a set of five Taster Olympic / Paralympic sports at Willesden Sports Centre, one on each day, highlighted with a torch. Activities are open to young people of all abilities and the age groups are specified in the timetable below.
How to book Free and great value sports activities
The options for booking and paying for a place on one or more of the activities are: across Brent for 7-15 year olds. • book online using a credit or debit card at www.brent.gov.uk/holidayactivities • by post by downloading and completing a booking form from www.brent.gov. uk/holidayactivities and send or bring it in with a cheque made payable to London Borough of Brent, to Holiday Programme, Sports and Parks Service, Brent House, 1st Floor West, 349-357, High Road, Wembley HA9 6BZ • in person between 2-4pm on Monday to Thursday 15-25 October. Come to Brent House Reception, 349-357, High Road, Wembley HA9 6BZ and ask one of the Sports Team about the holiday programme – cash and cheque only. Please note multi-sports activities are free and you can book online or just turn up on the day, ideally with a completed booking form, which you can download from www.brent.gov.uk/holidayactivities Contact 020 8937 3707 for more information.
Things to remember • We will provide all necessary equipment but you are welcome to bring your own, e.g. a tennis racquet. • You must wear suitable clothing and footwear for the activity – this includes a water proof jacket for any outdoor sessions. • No refreshments or food will be provided, so please remember to bring your own non-fizzy drink and packed lunch/snacks if required. • Parents/carers should tell us on 020 8937 3707 if their child is unable to attend a booked session. • All sessions are led by qualified coaches and instructors and unless stated otherwise, are open to boys and girls of all abilities. • Please refer to the website for the terms and conditions.

If you are aged 16 and under and live in Brent, you can swim for free from Monday 29 October til Friday 2 November at Vale Farm Sports Centre (11am-4pm) and Willesden Sports Centre (10am-12.15pm and 1.30-4pm).
