Holiday Sports Activities


Introduction There is something for everyone; so sign up today and have yourself a happy, healthy holiday! Sessions are open to children and young people of all abilities unless specified. There are lots of Olympic and Paralympic sports (just look out for the torch) to try including archery, basketball, table tennis, gymnastics and more. To celebrate National Family Week we have organised some family sessions for children (aged 7 years upwards) and adults.

Special promotion For every parent that books their child on to the full week programme in the All Day Play Scheme at Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre they will receive one free drop in session pass for any term time activities and one free drop in session pass to the Summer Holiday Programme to be held at Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre.

How to Book To book your place you first need to fill in a booking form. You can get a booking form in three ways: • download it from www.brent.gov.uk/holidayactivities (all of Brent’s libraries have free internet access) • pick one up from Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre • phone Sports Service on 020 8937 3707 and ask for one to be posted to you Once you have completed your booking form, send it with your payment (cheques made payable to London Borough of Brent and please ensure that the cheque guarantee number is written on the back of the cheque) to Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre, Brentfield, Harrow Road, London, NW10 0RG Or you can take your form to Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre in person. NEW - you can also pay over the phone with a credit/debit card by calling Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre on 020 8937 3730. All major credit/ debit cards are accepted. Please make sure you have your card details ready to hand when you call. Please note; booking in person is NO LONGER possible at Brent House.

All necessary equipment is provided by the Sports Service You must wear suitable clothing and footwear for the activity – this includes a water proof jacket for any outdoor sessions No refreshments or food will be provided; so, bring your own non-fizzy drinks and packed lunch if required Parents and carers should inform the Sports Service if their child is unable to attend a booked session All sessions are led by experienced and qualified coaches and instructors and, unless stated otherwise, are open to boys and girls of all ages and abilities Please bring sun cream for outdoor sessions if the weather is hot Please refer to the website for the terms and conditions.

The Centre will be holding a ‘Games’ inspired Open Day from 12-6pm.

Activities for 7-17 year olds include: · Archery at Kingsbury High School · Street, hip hop, bollywood, contemporary and break dance at Willesden Library · Roller skating (VENUE TBC) · Party in the Pool at Willesden Sports Centre and Vale Farm Sports Centre

There will be a range of exciting activities for you to get involved in from, urban fashion design, roller disco and a selection of sports for you to try out, all for free!

Sessions take place weekly (except school holidays and Bank Holidays) for different age groups so please visit the website for details before attending.
