Boy from Brent launches university scholarship fund

Football hero and ‘Boy from Brent’, Raheem Sterling has launched a new scholarship fund to close the gap in the number of Black British students who go to university.

The Raheem Sterling Foundation will financially support 14 students to attend either Manchester or King’s College London universities with hopes of improving social mobility. The first four scholarships were awarded to students starting their degree programmes in 2023/24. Over the next three years, there will be more opportunities for young people to apply.
