Welcome Message
It’s a new year and time to rejuvenate yourself!
Liberty Adult Education (LAE) proudly presents our Winter/ Spring Catalog. Our new brochure is packed with educational opportunities to advance your education and enrich your life. I would like to announce that I have retired from Liberty Union High School District as the Adult Education Coordinator. I have so much gratitude for my work here over the past three decades. Adult Education is my passion. It is abundantly clear that the students/ community members, partners, and the dedicated staff have been at the heart of my career in Adult Education. It is a beautiful thing to be able to touch the lives of others. Thank you for your support and friendship over the years. I am confident that LAE will continue the great work we do for our students and community members. I hope to cross paths with you all in the future. As I transition out of LAE, I would like to introduce Sarah Steen, LAE’s new Coordinator of Adult Education. Under Sarah’s leadership, LAE will continue to serve our local communities as a center for lifelong learning to provide opportunities for adults of all ages to achieve their educational, employment, community, and personal goals.

they are easy.” – Thomas Fuller
I am excited to join Liberty Adult Education as the new Coordinator. New to LUHSD and Adult Education, I come ready to learn. I bring 9 years of experience as a district office leader and 10 years teaching high school. I believe LAE is a “hidden gem” in Brentwood. You see how special the Community Education Center is when you spend some time here. We serve adult students who are working on a variety of educational goals, whether it is learning English, earning a high school diploma or GED, getting training for a new career, or learning something just for fun! We also have a Career Center open daily to help you get started with your job search needs. If you have ever seen our brochure and thought about registering for a class, this is a great time to do it! A new year can be a new beginning if you make the commitment to yourself. It is not always easy to take the first step, but our team is here to support you along the way. Some of our staff members have changed recently, but what remains the same, is our strong local partnerships and our wide variety of educational opportunities for the community. Believing in yourself is the first step in success. Please take a look at our Winter/Spring 2023 Brochure and contact the LAE team if we can answer any questions you have. We hope to see you on campus soon!
