BEAUTY.. Beauty is simple,

It is not a pretty face,

It surrounds us all,

With a light complexion.

THE ONE PAG 31

But many don’t notice, Beauty in the soul.

My dear fellow friends, The world is absurd,

Beauty isn’t clothes,

Beauty is now defined,

Not a size four,

By all the wrong words.

Not the colour of your skin, Or the last make-up you wore.

So, come closer, I’ll give you a clue,

Beauty isn’t flawlessness,

About where beauty lies,

Nor is it perfection,

And its definition too.

“Your skin is so soft Your breath makes my skin tingle. Why are your hands DES12NMGZ | 5 cold?”

My heart is the beatbox My mind is the maestro My soul is the song My body is the instrument

There are so many scandals in politics and the entertainment world that it’s hard to find a good role model. Besides you, of course, who is a good role model? I think there are a lot of different people for a lot of reasons. You can’t really compare people. That’s one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned, because comparing yourself to someone else really stops you from being who you are. I tend to choose people who aren’t alive, people I don’t know. For instance, there’s a woman named Assata Shakur who was a black panther. A lot of people disagree with what this group did but I take what she stood for and how she stood up for what she believed and apply it to parts of my life. I take parts of peoples’ lives and apply them to my own.

In a lot of your writing you use the term“Real Man.” What defines a real man, and how is that different from the “Samsonite Man” you talk about in one of your songs? So, a “RealMan” implies a person who is trustworthy, who is noble, who says what he means and means what he says, and a person who loves. All these things you look for in a person you really know, so there is nothing secret about him, and he is very much a stand-up kind of a person.

you’ve got to find that groovy soft spot with the space between and listen..

now you have the spot. now you slowly fuck the groovy soft spot in the sound take care to take your time all in rhythm, with a slow crescendo the flare will happen by itself It’s clear that faith is important to you, and a certain set of values, as opposed to what you were just talking about, all the distractions from what is important. How does religion affect your life? I pray a lot. I think prayers are like affirmations, things that you speak out loud and therefore they can come to you. I believe a lot in the power of words. That’s why I love them so much. I feel like at onetime in my life I would say, “Oh, just

that I didn’t really like. But I kept saying, “Well, you know, that’s my luck,” so I was affirming that my luck was negative and that something bad would come to me. But when I changed that around and started saying, “Well, you know that’s going to work out because I have fantastic luck!” I found that those good things happened. So prayer and giving thanks and being connected to something greater keeps me very humble and makes me realize that it takes a lot to find space inside of you that makes you strong and confident and comfortable and a good person.

I’m going to have to get used to the way you breathe. Sort of heavy and fast. Surprising for such a small girl. I like it though. I like your skin too, it’s soft. My hands move so lightly on your skin. I’m going to have to get used to that.

The more the beautiful the girl, the more I wonder what other defense she contains to keep her emotions latched She wanders with a ponderance of an unfulfilling existence . It’s like she missed the instance when life was handing out purpose. She became subverted by her own thoughts. Self-image contorted like spaghetti noodles or dreadlocks. The simplicity of existing has become brutal. She keeps the gold within vaulted like Fort Knox. That protection is like an island preventing her journey’s beginning.
