I-5 WIDENING PROJECT BRINGS LONG TERM CLOSURE OF ALONDRA BOULEVARD By Randy Economy Motorists in the La Mirada, Norwalk and Cerritos area will no longer have access to parts of Alondra Boulevard beginning on Monday, June 10, members of the California Transportation Department confirmed this week. The “long term closure” along Alondra Boulevard is expected to continue for at least one year due to the massive expansion and widening of Interstate 5 from La Mirada to the Downey city limit line. Cal Trans also confirmed this week that the Alondra Boulevard Bridge De-
molition is scheduled to take place Friday and Saturday nights beginning Friday, June 14. That project is expected to take up to six weeks to complete. Residents in La Mirada, Cerritos, Norwalk and Santa Fe Springs will have to contend with closures along the Santa Ana Freeway as well beginning in June. Cal Trans announced the closures between Valley View Avenue and Carmenita Road. During the Alondra Boulevard demolition, one direction of I-5 will be fully closed overnight. Up to

Knabe Fights to Keep ‘Fire Rings’ at LA County Beaches By Randy Economy Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe has lashed out at a proposed change that would eliminate open pit fires at beaches under the counties jurisdiction. At this week’s Board of Supervisor’s meeting, Knabe announced that he will propose a motion that would “oppose any action on the part of the Air Quality Management District to prohibit, statewide, fire rings on beaches that are used for campfires.” “Beach fires are a long-time recreational tradition in Southern California,” Knabe said. “Picking on beach fire rings due to their health risks seems to me to be one of the lesser causes of the various ailments that our residents and visitors might suffer. Local jurisdictions should be able to regulate or prohibit beach fire rings as they see fit based on what is right for their areas and constituents,” he told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper in a statement. “Although I have been informed the AQMD’s original June 7 hearing date has been postponed, nonetheless, the AQMD could rule on this in the near future, and I do not want Los Angeles County to lose the opportunity to participate in the debate and take a role in determining its
future related to beach fire rings,” Knabe said. Most of Knabe’s sprawling district represents coastal beach communities in Los Angeles County and he has been a strong advocate and promoter of county beaches during his tenure on the Board of Supervisors. “From the time of the beach parties of Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon, beach campfires are a low cost timehonored tradition and recreational pastime in the Los Angeles County area – indeed, all of Southern California – and appeal to the wide and diverse population that Los Angeles County serves,” he said. “In fact, when the County took over operation of Dockweiler State Beach in 1975, the fire rings were already there and to this day remain. At a quick glance, parking revenue alone evidences that our residents and visitors are willing to pay for something they appreciate – recreating at the beach in the evening hours surrounding a fire ring,” Knabe continued. He also stressed that “parking revenue earned after 4:00 p.m. at Dockweiler State Beach amounts to as much as 43% of that beach’s parking lot proceeds annually, or approaching $570,000 in absolute dollars. Again, this is after the typical beach-going activity is over for the day.”

COMMUNITY FORUMS UPDATE COMMUNITY ON NORWALK’S SEWER SYSTEM On Thursday, May 23, the City of Norwalk hosted the second of two Community Forums to update the community on Norwalk’s effort to address local health and safety needs. For the past few months the City of Norwalk has been working to inform the community and key stakeholders about Norwalk’s aging and deteriorating sewer system. Norwalk has been proactively engaging the community to provide information on Norwalk’s efforts to address critical sewer system needs and obtain feedback from the community. In addition to hosting Community Forums, the city has been giving presentations to community groups and has issued multiple informational mailings to residents. “The City also updated the city’s website www.norwalkca.gov to provide residents with important factual information about Norwalk’s sewer system. Norwalk’s sewer system is old, deteriorating and reaching the end of its anticipated lifespan - with limited funding available for necessary repairs and improvements. No funding is available for necessary upgrades other than emergency reserves and city funds already devoted to important city services such as police protection, emergency response and senior/youth programs, among other services. To address critical sewer system needs and ensure the health and safety

of the community, the City of Norwalk is considering sewer service rates for property owners, a common practice in many California cities, said City Manager Mike Egan. “Sewer system repairs and upgrades are critical to ensuring public health and safety. Most of Norwalk’s sewer lines were constructed in the 1950’s with some constructed as early as 1935. Norwalk’s sewer infrastructure includes aging and deteriorating clay pipes, undersized sewer mains, and other outdated infrastructure. “Without repairs, upgrades and proper maintenance, Norwalk’s sewer system will continue to deteriorate, said Egan. “It is fiscally responsible to address these critical needs now, before they become more expensive in the future. The City Council will consider sewer service rates at a Public Hearing scheduled on Tuesday, June 4th at 6 p.m. at the Norwalk City Council Chambers, 12700 Norwalk Blvd. The City will continue to gather community feedback and input as we move forward, and additional feedback from the community will be greatly appreciated. The City of Norwalk currently provides sewer service to approximately 106,000 residents. Norwalk’s sewer system consists of approximately 164 miles of sewer lines and mains. Residents can visit the City’s website at www.norwalkca.gov for additional information.

A Message from the ABC Superintendent
Brighter Budget Forecast for Next Year Editor’s Note: We are re-running this article, we cut the last few paragraphs off last week. We apologize for the error. By Dr. Mary Sieu We are heartened to see additional revenues for education next year as proposed by the Governor in Dr. Mary Sieu his released May Superintendent - ABCUSD Revision. For the past four months, the state has experienced multibillion dollar increases in General Fund Revenues and in turn current year cash receipts. The Governor has maintained his focus on reforming education finance with the new Local Control Funding Formula. Some of the key changes in the May Revision include the following: • $1.9 billion to begin implementation of a new school finance formula (Local Control Funding Formula) • $1 billion one time funding to implement the common core state standards

The Legislature is expected to adopt a budget by June 15, 2013 and the Governor is expected to sign it by July 1, 2013. The May Revision proposes to maintain the status quo for Adult School for the next two years. The Governor’s earlier proposal was to move it under the community colleges. The budget provides funding the Adult School only in the areas of English as a second language, citizenship, high school diploma, general education development (GED) and workplace education. Under the new Local Control Funding Formula, ABCUSD is expected to receive approximately $6 million in additional funding. We also especially welcome the allocation of $3.4 million to ABC Unified School District for implementation of the new Common Core State Standards. The one time funds will be used for professional development, instructional materials and technology. The infusion of new funds for technology is critical as we prepare for the new computer adaptive tests under the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium in 2014-15. We will be working to ensure that every school has the adequate technology in order for the students to take the tests. On May 21st, as a result of the brighter
Linda Sánchez Leads Call to Review Dual Eligible Care Plan Today, Congresswoman Linda Sánchez (CA-38) led a letter with 13 Los Angeles-area Members of Congress to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) expressing serious concerns with California’s current plan to combine services and funding provided by Medicare and the Medi-Cal program. In the letter to Acting CMS Administrator Marilyn Tavenner, Congresswoman Sánchez and Members of Congress asked for more review of the Los Angeles County Medi-Cal/Medicare dual eligible demonstration project to ensure that hundreds of thousands of Los Angeles County residents keep crucial health care options. In 2010, the monthly average of Californians who are both eligible for the Medi-Cal program and the federal Medicare program was 1.1 million. In Los Angeles County, the monthly average of dual eligible residents is 370,000. Dual eligible patients are typically economically disadvantaged seniors and persons with disabilities. “It’s critical that we make sure our

most vulnerable neighbors get all the medical care they need through Medicare and the Medi-Cal program,” said Congresswoman Sánchez. “While creating savings to ensure long-term solvency is important, those savings can’t be at the expense of providing quality care to seniors and people with disabilities. I would hope that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the State of California can come up with a demonstration plan that fully meets the needs of dually eligible beneficiaries.”

Ross Academy Mathlete Team members include Mr. Joshua Kronz, math team coach, Faisal Alif, Jaydev Patel, Nicolas Kumkom, Matthew Mendiola and Ross Math Department Chair, Amanda Silvas. By Jim Martins A quartet of Ross “Mathletes” recently took first place honors at the ABCUSD Second Annual Middle/Elementary School Mathletes competition recently held at Cerritos High School. The event was organized by the local chapter of the National Mathematics Honor Society, presided over this year by Chapter Co-Presidents Victor Lai and Michelle Jen. There were four rounds of competition and students Faisal Alif, Nicolas Kumkom, Matthew Mendiola, and Jaydev Patel successfully made it through the individual test, mental math test, and two team-tests to place ahead of the pack. The students were coached in the areas of Algebra, Geometry and Algebra II by Ross mathematics teacher Joshua Kronz, new to the school and recent graduate of Cal-State, Long Beach. Kronz was very modest about his involvement in getting the students to victory. “The kids took it upon themselves; I was merely a rudder guiding their efforts in the right direction.” He further added that the students analyzed questions and peppered him with questions, strategies, and new ideas and approaches. When asked how the school chose who would compete, Kronz and department chair Amanda Silvas readily praised their peers. “All of the math teachers (Ross) work tirelessly at preparing (students) for the next level. This is why we
chose a broad range of students to compete…different skills…different backgrounds…different skill levels. What we ask of them is that they work cooperatively to represent Ross to the best of their abilities.” Silvas further stated her pride in the students’ performance. “I am beyond pleased…. I hope that this helps our entire community know how strong mathematics is here at Ross!” All four competitors claim that mathematics is one of their favorite subjects. All agreed that they were thankful that Mr. Kronz had prepared them with advice and training. Nicholas Kumkom beamed about the win. “I’m very proud that I joined Mathletes and was able to compete. I got to really test my talents in math.” Seventh graders from Ross participated as well. When asked about the prospect of competing next year, Deanna Hirbawi unhesitantly articulated, “Yes, most definitely, I’m already going to start preparing with my Mathlete friends. We now have a performance bar to uphold and this year’s team’s performance to beat.” A total of three teams, twelve students, with a variety of mathematics skills participated in the event. A total of 12 competitors represented Ross Academy and nearly one hundred fifty students, in total, participated in the event. Second and third place honors went to students from Haskell Middle School.

On Tuesday, the owner of a company similar to Water2Save based in Oceanside, and who lost the bid against Water2Save, was interviewed by the FBI. No further details about the interview are available On Tuesday, officials from the United States Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a raid on Senator Ron Calderon’s office in the State Capitol. Boxes of potential evidence were taken from Calderon’s office by armed investigators. It was the first time in 25 years that the California State Capital was raided in a criminal investigation. The Calderon’s have refused to talk to any members of the media since the raid took place.
lawmakers involved with the Latino Caucus are being targeted in the investigation, including at least one former member. Several calls into the offices of Senator Ron Calderon were not returned and his District Office located in Montebello has been besieged with media trucks and interview requests. Senator Ronald Calderon is considering a campaign in 2014 to become Assessor of Los Angeles County. The current Assessor John Noguez is the focus of the largest public corruption case in the history of LA County. Calderon told LCCN that he was “exploring the Assessor’s office as an option in 2014.” “This afternoon, agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation served search warrants in the State Capitol at the office of Senator Ron Calderon and in the Legislative Office Building at the Latino Legislative Caucus office,” said Tony Beard, the Senate’s chief sergeant at arms, in a statement to the media. “Those warrants are sealed by order of the Federal Court; therefore we have no further information,” he said. “The Senate has and will continue to fully cooperate with the agents in this matter. Laura Eimiller, a spokeswoman for the agency in Los Angeles, said the search involved two locations, both related to the same investigation. She declined to dis-
cuss the investigation in any detail. Neeki Bianchi, a special agent in Sacramento, said the investigation is “not a public safety issue.” The Sacramento Bee is reporting that famed Los Angeles Attorney Mark Geragos is representing Calderon. The Bee is reporting that, said prosecutors “have no case,” and accused them of acting inappropriately in disclosing that the FBI was conducting a search. “The U.S. Attorney’s Office should be ashamed of them,” Geragos told the Bee. “They have no case, so what they do is they leak the sealed information in an effort to hassle innocent people, and that’s all the comment I have.” Geragos also told the Bee, “What they’re going after is anything to divert attention from their own misfeasance or malfeasance.” ”All I know is that it’s very easy to make an allegation when you’ve got search warrants that are under seal and don’t have to defend it, and they should be ashamed of themselves.” Los Cerritos Community Newspaper has also contacted former State Assemblyman Tony Mendoza of Artesia who is a past Chairman of the Latino Caucus before he left Sacramento due to term limits in 2012 for a statement about tonight’s raid to no avail. It is not known if Mendoza is a focal point of the raid, but in March
JUNE 7, 2013
2012, LCCN reported that Mendoza was a central figure in “an elaborate money laundering scheme to skirt California campaign finance laws to help benefit the campaign of the candidate who is running to take his place in Sacramento.” Current Latino Caucus Chairman, Senator Ricardo Lara told LCCN in an interview that “Latino Caucus Chairman Assembly Member Tony Mendoza, acting on his own accord and without input from Members of the Latino Caucus, provided a recommendation to transfer $50,000 from Yes We Can, an Independent Expenditure Committee (IEC), to another IEC prior to his resignation as Chair of the Caucus.” “The funds have since been transferred numerous times and have been used to support candidates who are not endorsed by the Latino Caucus. As the current Chair of the Latino Caucus, I do not condone or support his actions,” Lara told LCCN back in 2012. Mendoza is currently running to replace Ronald Calderon in the June 2014 California Primary election. It is not known if Mendoza is a specific target in the investigation. Calls into Calderon’s office as well as to the Latino Caucus were not returned to LCCN.

EVERYDAY MIRACLES
The Sacramento offices of Senator Ron Calderon along with the California Latino Legislative Caucus were raided by federal officials including the US Attorney’s Office and the FBI on Tuesday night, sending a political shockwave across the Golden State. The raids began shortly before 5 pm and a former California State Assemblyman who did not want to be identified told LCCN that officers converged on Calderon’s office “en masse, and they were all carrying guns.” Sources also tell LCCN that other state

Lakewood, Bellflower Sheriff’s Search for Suspect in Supermarket Parking Lot Murder
The parking lot where the murder took place in Bellflower on Sunday night. The suspect is at large and is described as a male adult Hispanic between 5’09’ and 6 ft. tall with dark hair. Randy Economy Photo By Randy Economy (Bellflower) A local man was shot and killed Sunday night in a parking lot at the corner of Woodruff Avenue and Alondra Boulevard in Bellflower, and law enforcement officials are searching for the suspect responsible for the murder. The shooting took place on Sunday, June 2, at approximately 9:09 PM in a parking lot of a supermarket and several small mom and pop type businesses including an ice cream parlor, dry cleaners, a donut shop and at least two fast food restaurants. On Monday, members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau told Los Cerritos Com-
munity Newspaper that the victim died from a gunshot wound. “Witnesses told deputies that while parked in the parking lot of the location, the victim was sitting in his vehicle talking to the suspect and at some point, the suspect and the victim began arguing. The argument escalated to the point where the suspect shot the victim once in the upper torso,” said Deputy Mark Pope with the Sheriff’s Media Division located in Monterey Park. “The victzim attempted to drive off but became unconscious and collided with the east sidewalk of Woodruff Avenue,” Pope said. The suspect then apparently drove away in his personal vehicle in an un-
known direction. The only description of the suspect is that he is a male Hispanic with dark hair, approximately 5'09"6'00", in his early 20's. “Everyone is talking about what took place last night,” said one employee of an ice cream parlor who did not want to be identified. “This is very frightening, and many of us are very concerned and scared,” the employee said. A Bellflower resident who identified himself as Dwayne McMillan, 55, said that he has lived in the neighborhood his entire life and that violent crime in the immediate area “seems to be getting more and more out of control.” “We love our community, and this is normally pretty safe on Sunday nights, we all need to be more aware of our surroundings these days,” he said. The shopping center does have several cameras on site to monitor the parking lot location. Lakewood Sheriff officials told LCCN on Monday afternoon that the investigation is still in the “early stages.” Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call "Crime Stoppers" by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), or texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or by using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org. la mirada lamplighter newspaper

Cerritos Girls Softball All-Stars Stumble in South Huntington Beach Tournament playoffs By Loren Kopff After three Cerritos Girls Softball Association All-Star teams won their respective pools last Saturday in the South Huntington Beach Tournament, all four teams couldn’t keep that momentum going in the playoffs. All four teams combined to win just one playoff game. The 8-Under All-Stars, fresh from winning the San Dieguito Memorial Day Tournament, defeated South Huntington Beach and Torrance by identical 5-3 scores in pool play action. The team then defeated North Huntington Beach this past Sunday in the quarterfinals before losing to Long Beach Heartwell. The 10-Under All-Stars lost to Rancho Trabuco 5-2 last Friday and North Shore 7-3 last Saturday before being knocked out of the tournament by Fountain Valley, 8-1, later in the night. The 12-Under All-Stars blasted South Huntington Beach 9-2 last Friday and Sierra Madre 8-1 last Saturday before losing to Rancho Trabuco in the quarterfinals this past Sunday. Finally, the 14-Under All-Stars edged Fountain Valley 4-3 and Temecula Valley 7-5 last Saturday but fell to South Huntington Beach in the quarterfinals this past Sunday. All but the 14-Under All-Stars will be participating in the Tustin Romp Tournament Saturday and Sunday. The Norwalk Girls Fastpitch 8-Under, 10-Under, 12-Under and 14-Under All Stars will be participating in the La Habra Tournament this weekend. The 8-Under All-Stars have already won the Walnut Memorial Day Weekend and Seaside of Oxnard Tournaments while the 12-Under team finished in second place in Walnut and the 12-Under squad were runner-ups in Oxnard. Next weekend, Norwalk will host its annual Summer Daze Tournament. HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL The Valley Christian football team will be hosting its spring practice game tonight at 7:00 at Crusader Field. V.C. is under the direction of former Mayfair cohead coach Woody Grayson. This is the first time V.C. has hosted a spring football game for its elementary, middle and

More on the CFC Liverpool program will be in the June 14 issue.
FORMER CERRITOS SLUGGER SMITH SLOWLY BECOMING BAYLOR’S BIG BEAR By Loren Kopff Standing tall at 5’ 10”, Sarah Smith tormented Southern California high school pitchers when she was at Cerritos High, spraying hits to all areas of the outfield Sarah Smith and smacking home runs right and left. So, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Smith recently concluded her freshman season at Baylor University the same way the left her senior season at Cerritos. Smith was second for the Bears this past season in batting average (.365), slugging (.533) and tied for the second with five home runs. She was also a magnet for the softball, being hit a teamhigh 14 times. Her performance drew the attention of the Big XII Conference as she was named the Freshman of the Year among the other six schools that field a softball team. In Big XII games alone, Smith led Baylor with a .346 average and a .460 on base percentage. “I actually didn’t know it even existed,” Smith said of the award. “I was just trying to make at least first or second team All-Big XII. I didn’t even know they had an All-Defensive team either.” From the time Smith set foot on the field at St. Joseph High for her first Cerritos game on Mar. 6, 2009, she was an instant hit, no pun intended. She spent her freshman season as a catcher and although Cerritos head coach Bob Me-
dina, who took over the coaching duties that season, didn’t know anything about Smith before, he immediately saw the tremendous talent and knew she was something special. “Probably in my freshman year, I didn’t say that, but as I watched her grow, her sophomore year she developed to an awesome softball player,” Medina said. “In her junior year, she was phenomenal. I don’t even know anybody who was better than her.” Smith was a 2009 and 2010 Los Cerritos Community News All-Area second team member, both as a catcher. As a sophomore, Smith batted .493 with 37 hits, 28 runs, nine doubles, four triples and three home runs. She was walked 12 times and stole 10 bases. When Smith was a junior, she was converted to a right fielder and the numbers kept piling high. In Suburban League games alone, Smith batted .667 with 22 hits, 22 runs batted in, 23 runs scored and six home runs. In addition, Smith was the LCCN Player of the Year as well as the Suburban League’s most valuable player. As a senior, Smith went out with a bang, hitting .493 overall with 35 hits, 28 runs, 20 RBI, seven doubles, four home runs and eight stolen bases. This time as a center fielder, Smith left Cerritos as the LCCN Co-Player of the Year. “What was probably my most reward of coaching Sarah Smith was watching her develop into a phenomenal player,” Medina said. Smith was also ranked 73rd in ESPN’s top 100 recruits but when she arrived at Baylor, she was in for another change. Smith was asked to move to third base following fall practice, a position the Health Sciences major had never played. “It was one of the hardest things [I’ve had to do],” Smith said. “It was a big adjustment going from the outfield to the infield because I had never played third before. So I went home during Christmas break and just worked on my fielding a lot. When I came back [to Baylor], it was a lot easier. I guess I adjusted.” All Smith wanted to do her freshman season was hit over .300, have no errors and work on the mental aspect of the game. By the way she began her collegiate career, those goals were far from being a problem. On Feb. 7 against Illinois State, she batted eighth in the lineup, had a pair of hits and scored twice in a 5-0 opening season victory. “I just went up there like it was any other game,” Smith said. “I knew it had been a while since I had hit in a regular

COMMUNITYSPORTS
game. I just went up there like I usually do and everything worked out. It was actually really fun to see the crowd that came out. It was a fun day. “It was a little harder than I thought it was going to be,” Smith later said of her freshman season. “It was pretty much the physical part of it; just the offseason and the running and the conditioning. That was a little harder than I thought it was. The offseason is a lot longer than the high school season. It’s not as long as the travel ball season.” Smith would go on to play in 57 of Baylor’s 59 games, starting 56 of them. In 89 fielding chances, Smith made only three errors. The Bears finished this past season at 42-17 overall, but went 10-8 in the Big XII and advanced to the NCAA regionals in College Station,TX where they were eliminated by host Texas A&M. Of the 61 hits Smith got, six of the biggest came when she faced University of Texas hurler Blaire Luna and fourtime All-American, two-time USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and recent National Champion Keilani Ricketts of the University of Oklahoma. Both were the top two pitchers in the conference. Smith went three for five against Ricketts in two games with two RBI and a double and went two for seven against Luna with a double in two games. Smith also hit a solo home run against Oklahoma’s No. 2 pitcher, Michelle Gascoigne. “I actually have to say I am honored to be able to hit against them,” Smith said. “They are probably the best pitchers to have ever played the game. If they were everything they said they are, I was just going to go up there and try to tip the ball. Anything more than that was going to be extra. I wasn’t going up there trying to do too much. “The first time against Keilani, I went up there and hit a double,” she added. “I was like, ‘okay, I can do this’. That boosted my confidence and I knew I could hit her.” Smith is now going to take some time off before going back to Waco, TX in mid August. If her freshman numbers are any indication of the future, then soon people will be calling Smith an NCAA Player of the Year, or All-American, or national champion, or all of the above. “I coached nine years in college and I know your first year as a freshman you get the jitters just like everyone else,” Medina said. “But wow, you look at Sarah Smith and you see her as a freshman in college and putting up these numbers. Every time I watch her on television she does something phenomenal.”

Norwalk Transit System (NTS) continues to replace fixed route diesel-fuel buses with clean-burning CNG vehicles. With funding assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), NTS has received 14 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to replace existing diesel buses. NTS will now operate a mixed fleet of 6 diesel buses, 12 gasoline hybrid buses and 14 CNG buses. CNG buses offer a number of advantages over gasoline or diesel fuel vehicles, such as lower emissions of soot and cancer-causing particulates, and lower cost per diesel equivalent gallon of fuel (CNG is approximately $1.25 per gallon). Jim Parker, Director of NTS said: “CNG is better for the environment and costs less, so it’s better for the pocketbook, too. It’s a win-win for the community.” Residents are invited to learn more about the new CNG buses by visiting the NTS website at norwalkca.gov/transportation or scheduling an appointment to visit the NTS facility. For details, call Damian Rosales at NTS, (562) 9295533.

You should also be aware that the lien being auctioned off may be a junior lien. If you are the highest bidder at the auction, you are or may be responsible for paying off all liens senior to the lien being auctioned off, before you can receive clear title to the property. You are encouraged to investigate the existence, priority, and size of outstanding liens that may exist on this property by contacting the county recorder's office or a title insurance company, either of which may charge you a fee for this information. If you consult either of these resources, you should be aware that the same lender may hold more than one mortgage or deed of trust on the property. NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNER: The sale date shown on this notice of sale may be postponed one or more times by the mortgagee, beneficiary, trustee, or a court, pursuant to Section 2924g of the California Civil Code. The law requires that information about trustee sale postponements be made available to you and to the public, as a courtesy to those not present at the sale.
