In the first semester of my senior year, I was fortunate to take part in Wentworth’s new EPIC Learning program. Myself, along with three Architecture students, proposed a design for a National Parks Lodge in Squantum Point Park. Much consideration was given to the site’s solar oriention, avation history and geological conditions. Our concept was to have our building engage with the site in as many ways as possible. We accomplished this by incorporating sustainable systems that utlized the wetlands, capitilizing on outward views and raising the site’s topography, embedding the building into the ground. This would also allow for the public to engage with the structure through a pathway system leading to the first level’s green roof.

In the first semester of our Junior year, we were presented with a residential project in which we were to physically, artistically and conceptually combine two brownstone units to create a high end single residence for a growing family. The clients were passionate about sustainability and desired a restful retreat with ample storage. A conservatory served as my main inspiration for this project, cultivating growth and flooding the space with natural light.
