Value Performance Selection The CHANNEL H Solution Whether you are at a coffee shop surfing the web, placing an on-line order, e-mailing a spreadsheet, or involved in a video conference call, you are taking advantage of only a small slice of what today’s global communication network has to offer. Regardless of if we are using a network for work or for play, our expectations are that it will be fast and dependable. What many may forget, however, is that all of the data that we download to or upload from our laptop, desktop or smartphone, wirelessly or not, must travel over a network infrastructure consisting of copper and fiber optic cables. The wireless capabilities of any network rely entirely on the performance of the infrastructure components. Today, most companies choose a wired network due to its dependability, security and superior throughput speeds. Many, however, supplement their wired network with wireless access. What all networks have in common, though, is that they have become integral parts of how we communicate and do business. That is why it is very important to select the best components when designing and building a network. And, if you want to ensure optimum performance, select Channel H components. Comprised of copper and fiber optic cables from Hitachi Cable Manchester (HCM) and connectivity from Hubbell Premise Wiring, Channel H solutions offer the very best in performance and reliability and are backed by a confidence inspiring 25-year warranty. HCM and Hubbell make network design easy by providing a vast selection of products to ensure customization and that the desired level of network performance is achieved. Channel H simplifies the network design process further by offering the most popular components from each company in unique, performance-oriented packages. Regardless of whether you are a small startup with only a few employees, or a financial institution employing tens of thousands, Channel H will deliver reliable, market-leading performance to keep you up and running. In today’s competitive market, downtime is not an option. Channel-H‌Tune in.
1
Why CHANNEL H? Guaranteed Performance & Reliability
The CHANNEL H Solution Channel H offers multiple solutions to meet your specific needs. Each solution provides a different level of performance and each can address your long or short term IT goals. For those with small to medium throughput demands and whose occupancy at their facility may be only a few years, selecting a Category 5e or Category 6 solution may satisfy your needs. For those with higher throughput needs and expectations to occupy their facility for an extended length of time, Category 6A may be the better choice. Other factors, such as anticipated network upgrades, should be considered when considering the appropriate solution. To handle ever-growing throughput needs, faster network electronics are developed to provide for them. It is wise to choose an infrastructure that will accommodate these newer electronics and not limit your network speeds to something less than you desire. Upgrading the infrastructure can be a costly, challenging undertaking. To ensure your network remains as robust as possible, install the highest performing solution possible.
The table below is intended to differentiate the solutions by their capabilities.

Category 6A Solutions Channel H offers Category 6A solutions in both UTP and FUTP configurations. HCM’s Supra 10G® UTP and FUTP cables are both UL verified Category 6A. These cables, when mated to Hubbell’s durable, intelligently designed Category 6A components provide performance that will surpass a user’s expectations in both throughput and overall value. Both UTP and FUTP solutions provide guaranteed IEEE 802.3an 10-gigabit Ethernet throughput to a full 100 meters and will support all applications intended for Category 6A and all preceding categories. The FUTP solution provides the additional benefit of increased immunity from RFI and EMI as well as the security that a fully shielded cable can offer.

The CHANNEL H Solution
Enhanced Category 6 Solution Providing exceptional performance, the Channel H Enhanced Category 6 solution offers significant headroom over the TIA-568-C.2 Category 6 standard to ensure optimal performance even after the most challenging of installations. With positive ACR well beyond 250 MHz, the Enhanced Category 6 solution will easily accommodate gigabit Ethernet as well as POE+ and video. And, since HCM’s new Supra 660™ cable features an outside diameter that is 15% smaller than many competitor’s cables, conduit fill rates are dramatically improved.

Category 6 Solution Like all Channel H solutions, the Category 6 solution carries a 25-year warranty and application assurance. This value-rich solution offers guaranteed gigabit Ethernet performance and will support both POE and POE+. The combination of HCM’s rugged Category 6 Plus™ cable and Hubbell’s durable connectivity provide a secure and reliable infrastructure that has value in mind. HCM’s Plus™ cable has also been recently re-engineered to offer higher performance and do so with a smaller diameter, permitting more cables per conduit.

The CHANNEL H Solution
Category 5e Solution For end users who seek a reliable Category 5e infrastructure, Channel H provides everything they need. HCM’s UL Verified Category 5e cable comes in a ruggedized package that incorporates two rip-resistant handles and even offers a conduit fill chart on the box. Hubbell’s SPEEDGAIN connectivity provides dependable performance that exceeds TIA-568-C.2 requirements and comes in a large selection of colors and faceplate configurations. The Channel H solution provides exceptional headroom to accommodate all Category 5e applications and virtually all installation environments.

Fiber Optic Solutions The Channel H family of products also includes end-to-end fiber optic solutions that deliver world class performance and reliability in any environment. HCM’s multimode and singlemode cables utilize optical glass from Corning, the company that invented fiber optics. As an added value, Corning’s® ClearCurve® bend-insensitive glass is utilized for all appropriate HCM multimode cable constructions and is available in OM2, OM3 and OM4 performance levels. By using bend-insensitive glass, HCM cables provide minimum attenuation and maximum bandwidth. For enclosure selection and innovation, no other company offers what Hubbell does. From rack-mount to wall-mount, Hubbell has what you need. And, in addition to the more common adhesive and crimp style connectors, Hubbell also offers its 2-Click style connector that makes terminating singlemode or multimode fibers extremely quick and easy. So, if you need to run 10-gigabit Ethernet to a corner of your warehouse or to the other side of the campus, Channel H has all the components necessary for the task.
Warranty When two performance oriented companies like Hubbell and Hitachi get together, you can be certain that the warranty they offer will be impressive. More importantly, both companies have a history of being customer oriented. We won’t inundate you with red tape. If you believe you have an issue, we will work with you until it is resolved to your satisfaction. All Channel H solutions are backed by a 25-Year warranty that covers not only individual components, but guarantees the performance of the end-to-end solution as well. The warranty assures that all solutions will fully support any and all applications designed to operate over them for the duration of the warranty period. And, unlike some warranties, the Channel H warranty includes any labor that might be associated with warranty work. Some competing solutions exclude it. .....That’s not much of a warranty.
