BERLIN. New focus of the world. Dynamic, cosmopolitan and creative. The galleries. The nightlife. The ultramodern glass and steel structures. Berlin is the perfect mix of old and new. Stately and modern. And, right at its heart, the Hotel de Rome, a luxury hotel of uniquely classical design. A grand façade of columns greets guests for an authentic Berlin experience. Once inside, the hotel takes on a contemporary twist, as designer Tommaso Ziffer mixes bold graphics and bright neon with plush velvets and more traditional décor. Ambiance and energy abound, with original architectural features acting as a counterpoint to modern amenities. It all comes off as elegantly as the women who say “Hotel de Rome, bitte” whenever they are in Berlin. And that’s why Basler chose the Hotel de Rome for the photoshoot, fashion show and after party. We happen to like its style.

Today, Dundas Castle reflects the changes that have come with time. The original “Auld Keep,” the magnificent rooms built in 1818 by renowned Scottish architect, William Burn, the restorations that began in 1995, and the elegant interior design that left no compromise in quality. The rooms boast a grand scale, from the Medieval Stag Chamber, to the chandelier lit Pavillion, to 14 luxurious bedrooms.
