Pushing Forward into New Places. Taking on New Challenges. Moving to California was a big step in my life, and one of the hardest and most difficult adjustments I’ve h a d t o m a k e . I w a n t e d t o p u s h m y s e l f t o g r o w, a n d one of the best ways to do so was to move to the one place I could find challenging work. Ampronix was one of the most promising choices I had when I arrived and started looking for work. It was very similar to my past jobs which allowed me s o m e t i m e t o g e t a c c l i m a t e d . H o w e v e r, t h e d e g r e e of expectations that came with my position (Senior Graphic Designer) ensured I wouldn’t stagnate. Instead, I was able to explore many new fields, the most exciting of which was in 3D Modeling and Te x t u r i n g h i g h p o l y m o d e l s . Ampronix serviced over 130 countries across the world with medical expertise. As far as my past companies had gone, it was one of the biggest I’ve e v e r w o r k e d f o r. I t p r o v e d t o b e j u s t t h e t h i n g I needed right after a move.

3D WORK One of the most consistent project requests I received was to produce 3D content for brochures, instructional pamphlets, or product showcases. Work was to look as clean as possible.

COLLATERAL M u c h l i k e m o s t c o m p a n i e s I â&#x20AC;&#x2122; v e w o r k e d f o r, producing design collateral for internal purposes was essential. This included anything from mundane instructional manuals for distribution to brochures or personal branding guidelines.

DANGER 1. Do not remove, tamper with, or otherwise destroy the overlay covers on the Articulating Arm. If the sticker is damaged or removed, do not tamper with, loosen, or otherwise attempt to adjust the screws on the Articulating Arm protected by the sticker.

The Upgrade Kit for the OEC 9800 is custom designed to increase the modular and flexible capabilities of your OEC 9800 Module.

3. Do not open the unit. Some components inside the unit are under high voltage, even when switched off, and can cause serious injury and even death if handled. Do not open the unit.

1. Precautions for handling the Dual Display Module Since the LCD module has been assembled and adjusted with a high degree of precision, avoid applying excessive shock or force to the module or making any alterations or modifications to it. Do not alter, modify, or change the shape of the unit. Do not make extra holes, modify or change the positions of the attached parts. Do not damage or modify the pattern wiring on the display module. Do not drop the LCD module. In particular, don’t forcibly pull or bend the I/O cable or power cable.

2. Power Switch When the unit is switched off, the power switch on the front panel does not result in electrical isolation to the power supply. The power plug must be disconnected in order to isolate the unit.

4. Maintenance Before providing any type of maintenance, be sure to unplug the power cord from the power source. Clean the cabinet and controls with a soft cloth lightly moistened with a non-abrasive cleaning solution. Do not saturate the unit as liquids can flow through the holes and cause an electric shock hazard and/or can severely damage the unit. 2

3. Do not remove the overlays covering the two connecting points of the Articulating Arm. If the overlays are damaged or removed, do NOT tamper with the screws in the Articulating Arm’s connecting joints. (Figure 3)

These points should be seamlessly covered by an overlay sticker. However, in the event they are not present, it is crucially important to never modify or tamper with the screws inside.

3. Safe Lifting Proper safe lifting and handling must be followed during the installation process of the unit. 1. Take hold of the unit firmly with both hands. 2. Follow the instruction guide steps to ensure proper installation.

2. Do not tamper with the Washer and Screw combination on the bottom of the Articulating Arm once they have been installed. (Figure 2) The movement of your Articulating arm will never require you to do so.

Reconnect wires labeled in Part 1, Step 3 (G), and TB4 (terminal block); ground screw to input plate.

Once all wires are connected attach Back Cover Plate to the back of the Plastic Cover using the M3 x 8mm Screws (H).

Carefully insert the Articulating Arm into Plastic Cover.

10. Remove Dual Display Module from box and attach to the Articulating Arm. Secure from the underside with washer and screw (J).

Reattach wires to the power switch.

Connect wires from the Plastic Cover to the Metal Base.

Note: Picture is for reference. Power switch will be attached to the Plastic Cover.

11. Connect Power Cable, Video Cable (VGA), and Touch screen Cable (MAC15) to the back of the Dual Display Module (I). 12. Screw the VESA cover to the back of Dual Display Module using the provided M5 x 45mm screws (J). Note: If the conduit cable is too long, rotate the cable down so it feeds into the Plastic Cover.

Part I. CRT Removal

(1:1 Scale)

1. Remove monitor cover (A). (Note: Your CRT Monitor may differ visually from example) 2. Disconnect CRT power from the TB4 (terminal block) and unsecure from metal base. 3. Disconnect the remaining CRT connections and label each connection for Upgrade installation: a. Minifit RS 232 (R) Monitor [R-LCD B/C] b. BNC Video 1: (R) Monitor [R-Video] c. BNC Video 2: (L) Monitor [L-Video] d. Minifit RS 232 (L) Monitor [L-LCD B/C] e. Minifit Light Sensor [IR Remote Sensor] f. DB9 Touch [RS-232 Control Signal] g. X-Ray Indicator Light [X-Ray Indicator Light] 4. Remove CRT’s. Set aside to send to Ampronix. 5. Disconnect the IR Sensor Housing, remove, and set aside to send to Ampronix. 6. Disconnect wiring from the X-Ray Light Indicator. 7. Disconnect wires from the Power Switch. 8. Unsecure any remaining cables that are secured to the Bottom Base and the Cover Support Cage. 9. Unscrew and remove the Cover Support Cage

Part IV. Final Results

Carefully unpack the main box: remove the box containing the Dual Display Module as well as the Plastic Cover, Metal Base, and Articulating Arm.

Take the Metal Base and place on top of OEC cart aligning with the existing screws and secure down with bottom mount nuts.

Once the Metal Base is secured, take the Plastic Cover and position over the Metal Base. Now, before securing the cover: a. Connect the 4 power wires to the power switch (C) by matching wire colors. b. Connect the Power Cable, Video Cable (VGA), and Touchscreen Cable (MAC15) (D).

Unscrew the Wire Organizer Bar.

Arrange the wires as pictured (E), replace and secure the Wire Organizer Bar.

Attach the Plastic Cover by tilting into the front of the cart and aligning with the metal latch (F). Press down slowly and toward the back, making sure to align to the Articulating Arm hole. The cover will slide OVER the side of the keyboard housing and fit snugly. Use the provided M4 x 60mm screws to secure plastic cover.
