Let Love Glow

Whenever possible, breath and enjoy the day/hours leading up to the first-look or the ceremony. Take in being with your bridesmaids, family, and close friends that are with you -and celebrate those friendships and relationships. Those men and women have been a foundation and a rock throughout this whole process -hug, hold, and kiss them in gratitude for being with you on this special day, and savor the little moments while getting ready. Also –go look at your venue before all the guests arrive! It’s a wonder to see all the amazing work that has been put into the space and how it’s been transformed into a venue made just for you and your partner. And last, but not least, if it feels right for you –take a page from Jewish ceremonies (though this has been adopted in weddings across cultures) and include the Yichudas part of your wedding timeline. The yichud means seclusion or togetherness, and it’s a lovely opportunity to take time alone with your partner shortly after the ceremony to look at one another –now married –take a breath, land a kiss, eat some food! (Especially if you’re doing a buffet style meal), and just take a moment to savor this brand-new togetherness you now share.”

The Cake

“The European Renaissance Feast Table was by far our favorite piece at the wedding. The long, copper table, hosted underneath our floral chuppah, featured our 4-tier “cheese cake,” surrounded by charcuterie, nuts, spreads and breads, bookended by our 30” croquembouche trees. Candles and lush fabrics highlighted the table, creating a truly decadent spread.”
