The FOUR SIXES Ranch hosts 25th Return to the Remuda Sale

Beggs Cattle Company, Four Sixes Ranch, Pitchfork Land & Cattle Company, Tongue River Ranch, King Ranch, and Wagonhound Land & Livestock continue the tradition of offering exceptional horses from their award-winning remudas for sale to the public.

The Four Sixes Ranch is proud to host the 25th Return to the Remuda sale Sept 27-28, 2024, in Guthrie, Texas. Marking its silver anniversary, this year’s sale promises to be an extraordinary event, featuring an exceptional selection of ranch horses from renowned breeders. This year’s sale is slated for September 27-28, one week earlier than traditionally scheduled.

All participating ranches are American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Best Remuda Award winners and each horse consigned to the sale has superior ranch and western performance bloodlines, providing buyers with quality and versatility for every program. The

With great sadness, the Burger family announces the passing of Sadiefamouslastwords, aka “Mo.” As the 2016 WPRA world champion in barrel racing, he won both the Calgary Stampede and Rodeo Houston in the same year and set a new season’s earnings record. His most important role was being Mary’s best friend. Mo was eager to get his cookies every morning and night and was part of the family. We loved him fiercely and are heartbroken that he is gone. approximately 180 consignments offer a diverse lineup in both age and skill levels. From stallion prospects, broodmares, weanlings, yearlings, experienced ranch horses, riding to performance horse prospects and finished show horses there is something for everyone at the Return to the Remuda Sale.

Mo was 15 years old. Kerry and Mary purchased him around 2 years of age, and Mary trained him to be a champion like she had many before him.

Mo ran from 2013 to 2016 and earned roughly $530,000 in that short time. In his rodeo career, he won numerous rodeos. Mo’s efforts led to Mary being inducted into the Cowgirl Hall of Fame, where you can see a picture of them running barrels on the large exterior window.

A demonstration, showcasing the riding horses, will be held on Friday, September 27, and will be followed by an open house where breeders can interact firsthand with stallions, and engage with stallion owners, Four Sixes Ranch Stallion Manager Eric Van Reet, and staff. An evening meal will be provided with compliments of the participating ranches as well as a dance with music from Jake Hooker & The Outsiders.

Saturday the sale will kick off with a benefit auction for the AQHA. Attendees can expect a seamless experience as they navigate through the offerings of elite equine talent, shopping for each ranch’s branded merchandise, enjoying great food, reuniting with old friends, and meeting new ones.

About the Return to the Remuda Sale

For 25 years the Return to the Remuda Sale has offered registered American Quarter Horses (AQHA) of various ages from six historic ranches: Four Sixes Ranch, Beggs Cattle Company, Pitchfork Cattle Company, Tongue River Ranch, Wagonhound Land & Livestock, and King Ranch. All the participating ranches are winners of the prestigious AQHA Best Remuda Award, which recognizes the outstanding foundation that ranch horses laid for the American Quarter Horse.
