Sharon Chauncey Siar Passed Away in February

Sharon Chauncey Siar 79, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on February 15th, 2020 with family by her side. A lifelong resident of Arizona. She was born on December 31st, 1940, the eldest of twin girls, Sharon & Karyn, to Tom W. Chauncey and Katherine Geare Chauncey along with her elder sister Colleen and younger brother Tom Chauncey II. Sharon is survived by her son Terry, daughter Diane, and husband Sam, along with her brother Tom, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Raised in central Phoenix, Sharon worked in health care administration for many years before returning to her interests in Arizona’s Arabian horses and real estate. She loved Arizona for its sunsets, horses, cattle ranches, and the Colorado river. Sharon’s compassion for animals was unparalleled; rescuing animals, taking in strays and caring for literally hundreds of animals over the course of her life. Her greatest joys were spent with her family water skiing, flying, and family gatherings in Arizona and California, with her favorite being along the beautiful Colorado river that runs between them. Sharon will be remembered for the countless individuals she mentored, took into her home, cared for, and loved deeply. Her positive impact on others has left a profound legacy of her generosity and good moral character. We will miss her. A private gathering was be held in Scottsdale. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to The Healing Hearts Animal Rescue and Refuge, and the Arabian Horsemens Distress Fund.
