Plenty To See and Do During Sun Circuit At WestWorld

The Arizona Sun Circuit Quarter Horse Show rolls into Scottsdale’s WestWorld for 10 days of action and excite-ment February 28 through March 8. While the finest Quarter Horses from all over the US and Canada con-verge in Scottsdale to participate in one of the top rated shows in the nation, local equine enthusiasts also look forward to the extravaganza. Many of the best horse training facilities are located in Arizona and will be showing off their world champions in reining, cow horse, roping, english, western, trail and jumping. Yet the show makes certain there is a place for everyone with classes tailored to exhibitors just starting out in the world of horse shows.

Spectators love the fact that there are no admission or parking fees for the family-friendly event. In between watching the action in 6 or more arenas every day, they can also browse the shopping expo with unique vendors overflowing with horse tack, barn essentials, horse trail-ers, apparel, home decor, gifts, jewelry, boots, hats, art-work and food. This year’s expo is larger than ever with so much to offer and many new vendors with dazzling treasures.

In the market for a new horse? Jason and Nikki Hersh-berger will be holding their 15th Annual Performance Horse Sale on Friday February 28th, 2020 in the Equi-dome at WestWorld. There will be 100 head of top quali-ty Cow Horses, Cutters, Rope Horses, Ranch Riders, Reiners and Ranch Versatility Horses. The sale starts at 4:00 PM, with a jackpot roping preview on Thursday af-ternoon. The Friday preview will start at noon demon-strating the skills of the consigned rope and cow horses.

Roping fans will enjoy coming out to watch The Sun Cir-cuit ARHFA Rope Horse Futurity on the 29th. There is hefty added money on the line for these talented young rope horses. Many team ropers have found their next prospect through the Futurity.

Another crowd pleasing event is the $20,000 added Smart Boons Fence Challenge on Friday March 6. The best Cow Horses in the nation will show off their athletic skills in an exciting matchup of superlative fence work. Every year this event draws a huge crowd who spend most of the night on the edge of their seats during the fast-paced competition.
