“Miss America represents the highest ideals. She is a real combination of beauty, grace, and intelligence, artistic and refined. She is a type which the American Girl might well emulate.” Frederick Hickman, Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce President, 1921. For over 75 years, we’ve been captivated by the pomp, pageantry, and beauty surrounding each newly-crowned Miss America. Briggs Auction, Inc., is pleased and proud to offer this outstanding, lifetime collection of photographs, memorabilia, programs, clothing, books, and more from the Estate of Ric Ferentz, noted Miss America historian. Mr. Ferentz was beloved by those in the pageant community, and this collection represents his passion and dedication towards capturing the essence of the real women who embody the title and principles of Miss America.
