Founded by Molly Bedingfield in 2004, The Global Angels Foundation is an international charity, empowering disadvantaged children and communities around the world. Through The 100% Promise, every penny Global Angels receives from public donations goes directly to tangible on-the-ground resources such as safe drinking water, water food, education, homes, rehabilitation, medical care and disaster relief. www.globalangels.org
Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK has a very simple objective – to grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. The charity was founded in the UK in 1986 and since then has granted over 7,700 wishes.
Charity Auction Part of what makes the UK’s family business sector so special is the reputation it has for giving back. For many family-run companies, charitable giving and philanthropy are a core part of their business. As well as the awards ceremony itself, this year’s Red Ribbon Awards will also play host to a Charity Auction with prizes donated by family businesses from around the UK. From luxury products to money-can’t-buy experiences and everything in between; the charity auction will be a fantastic chance to get your hands on some incredible prizes whilst at the same time making a hugely valuable contribution to our two charities Global Angels and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This year, around 1,400 children will turn to Make-A-Wish to have their special wish granted – they need to raise over £6.8 million per year to continue granting these magical wishes. www.make-a-wish.org.uk
