UNIVERSITY OF SUSSEX @ LONGHILL SCHOOL 9:30am - 12:30pm An action-packed morning with scientific activities that cover all the bases (and acids). Fire up a bunsen burner and make a chemical reaction, use science to create art, or get the knives out and conduct a dissection. Whatever your interest, we have a workshop that will leave you inspired and enthusiastic about science and the move to secondary school. Each session will be supported by Longhill pupils and supervised by experienced Longhill teachers.
The school science department has been offering a Saturday Science Club for Year 5 & 6 children in the Autumn term for several years. The sessions have been very popular so numbers have had to be limited, but by teaming up with Sussex University’s energetic training teachers there are more places this time. Travelling to Hove Park School for Bright Sparks

Train: 5 min walk from Aldrington Station. Right onto Old Shoreham Rd, then first left onto Nevill Rd. The school is 200m on the left.
Bus: The 5 and 5A go from Churchill Sq. to Sackville Rd, travelling every ten minutes on Saturday and every twenty minutes on Sunday. Car: On street parking available. Limited parking on school grounds available.
Travelling to events in central Brighton
We recommend taking public transport into the centre of town. Street parking is very limited, although there are several car parks (marked P on map).

Age Restrictions: at all events, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. ‘Recommended’ ages are given for all events, though you must make your own judgement.
Concessions are available for under 16s, NHS Staff, students, senior citizens (over 60) and the unwaged. Proof of concession is required when buying or collecting tickets.
