AC CEILING FANS

ADVANTAGES OF AC MOTOR CEILING FANS

Flexible Control

You can control AC fans from a wall control or remote. You can fit any of our remote or upgraded wall controllers to our AC fans, these include Smart and a Multi-fan options to control more than one fan at a time from the same controller.

Energy Efficient

Even though AC fans are not as energy-efficient as DC fans, they use less energy than most other home appliances. Standard Brilliant models will use no more than 80W on the highest speed. A majority of models use less.

All Year Use

AC fans feature a switch located on the motor housing to reverse the spin of the fan for use in the winter months to push warm heated air around the space.

BRILLIANT’S ALL-SEASONS TECHNOLOGY IS FOR USE ALL YEAR ROUND.

All Seasons technology allows you to change the direction the fan blades spin giving you the option to use your fan in Summer and Winter.

In Summer mode the air flows down and creates a breeze to create a cooling effect on your body.

Winter mode is best used on a low speed as the aim is not to create airflow, but rather, to gently push down the hottest air in the room. By bringing the warm air down from the ceiling, you can set thermostat to a lower temperature to still obtain a comfortable and warm environment whilst also saving on your heating costs.

Note: All energy saving and air movement data is produced by an accredited test lab. In home results may vary depending on circumstances and installation.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR FAN

What is the right airflow for your room size? In short, airflow is the measurement of air movement generated by the fan, our published figures are based on the highest and lowest speeds of our fans to highlight speeds intended for different spaces and uses.

Selecting the right fan should be based on application rather than a fan with the highest air movement. To give you an idea, with a bedroom ceiling fan you would prefer a gentle breeze. This would mean bedroom ceiling fans are generally set to the lowest speeds, so they don’t need to be high airflow fans.

In larger spaces, or if the fan will be installed in a room with a higher ceiling, then a fan with a high airflow would be more suited.

AUTOMATE the fans operation by setting triggers for humidity, temperature or weather conditions. This way, the ceiling fan can turn on or off and adjust its speed and direction depending on the room temperature in order to rotate the air and keep your room cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter – this helps a lot with the energy bill.

* Warranty on all fans, not including controllers, remotes or light fittings, is 6 years. The first 3 years are covered by an In-home warranty with an additional 3 year replacement only. Consumable items such as batteries and light globes will not be covered by this warranty.

The warranted use of fans outdoors are limited to enclosed alfresco like areas where conditions are similar to indoor installations.

The warranty conditions for fans installed in enclosed alfresco areas are as follows:

• Fan must be shielded from wind and rain (enclosed area, minimum 1.5m from edge of eave/roof).

• The warranty will cover open circuit motor faults, and remote control faults if not related to outdoor exposure.

• The warranty will not cover outdoor related issues such as rusting, or failure clearly caused by water, moisture or wind.

• The warranty will not cover external appearance or finish of any part of the ceiling fan.

• The warranty will not cover wooden blades. These are recommended only to be used. The warranty does not cover Ripple Control noise/interference (identified by a periodic or intermittent hum). This must be addressed with your energy service provider. The warranty does not cover noises or faults due to poor installation or failure to balance fans as per instructions.
