Colour temperature is measured in Kelvin and varies from warm, for a cosy atmosphere, to cool for a clean and modern look. Choosing a colour temperature is very subjective and each person has their own preference when looking to create the right ambiance.

No matter what space you’re lighting, it’s important to balance warm and cool temperatures. As a general rule, warmer temperatures are more calming, inviting, and relaxing, while cooler colour temperatures are often used to enhance concentration and focus in places like schools or offices.
