HEAD TO A CHRISTMAS FARM

Choose your own Christmas tree to take home, or just visit to soak up the scent of pine needles and the festive atmosphere. The Granite Belt Christmas Farm’s main harvest weekend is 30th November and 1st December, but you can visit any day of the year!

Brisbane has several Christmas shops, including the Christmas Shack (Virginia and Slacks Creek), Christmas Alight (Everton Hills) and Christmas Decorations Brisbane (Woolloongabba). TIP: Set a budget or a specific type of decoration you’re after before you head in.

GO TO THE CITY

The Christmas Tree in King George Square is always an impressive sight! At 22m high, it’s the centrepiece of Brisbane City’s decorations. From 10th to 24th December, City Hall will also be the backdrop for a nightly projected light display.

Until 31 December, families can have a jolly good time at Victoria Park’s magically decorated 18 hole course. It’ll be love at ‘frost’ sight with holes including Frosty’s Fairway, Gingerbread Village, Elf City and Santa’s Runway.

Christmas lights are one of our favourite ways to decorate for the festive season. They don’t take up much space and you can go as minimal or over the top as you like, even including energy efficient solar lights - they’re all beautiful!

With so many delicious Christmas treats to enjoy, from gingerbread and sugar biscuits to fruitcake, the scent of Christmas goodies baking in the oven is sure to invoke memories of Christmases past (and they make great gifts too!).
