early years & primary sessions... Jungle Boogie (EYFS)
Variety of Life (KS1, KS2)
Enter our ‘rainforest’ to the sound of night-time calls. Use movement, song, and meet the animals that live there. Other Early Years sessions are Minibeasts and Me, Polar Experience (Oct half-term to Easter), and African Experience (Easter to Oct half-term).
Explore our planet’s biodiversity in this interactive session featuring amazing furs, feathers, scales, bones, and stuffed specimens. We will sort these using the fivevertebrate classification system.
Food Chains, Fangs and Molars (KS1, KS2) This exciting session allows children to explore teeth, other mouthparts and skulls of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Nutrition and food chains are also included.

Smarty Plants (KS1, KS2) Join us for a unique opportunity to get hands-on with plants from the Zoo’s award-winning gardens. Explore plant structures, life cycles, how plants use animals, and how animals use plants.
Habitats (KS1, KS2) Come and explore the differences between two contrasting habitats of your choice. This fun session covers habitat features, micro-habitats, animals’ needs, and habitat protection.
Endangered Species and Habitats (KS2) Be inspired to help our planet’s threatened species and habitats in this interactive session, which explores examples of human impact on the environment, both locally and internationally.
