Cannabinoids

Cannabinoids have drawn increasing public attention with expanding legalization and an increase in accessibility. There are three classes of cannabinoids: plant-derived cannabinoids (phytocannabinoids), endogenous cannabinoids (endocannabinoids), and synthetic cannabinoids.

Phytocannabinoids are plant-derived cannabinoids that are historically extracted from cannabis. Endocannabinoids, found in the human body, are a group of compounds that are structurally similar to the chemical compounds found in cannabis.
