The Start of Something Great
We’ve been offering exciting programmes for Young Learners for a long time, ensuring that we deliver truly life-changing experiences across all our centres. Unique Locations Whether you’re looking to book at one of our prestigious independent boarding schools or one of our homestay programmes you can be sure that each location will offer Young Learners a unique experience.
Academic Excellence We use an innovative, communicative approach to teaching and all our teachers are qualified to teach English as a foreign language (CELTA, Trinity TESOL or equivalent). Lessons are fun and interactive with a high level of student involvement as each class has a maximum of 15 students.
Welfare The safety and well-being of our Young Learners is our number one priority. We are dedicated to ensuring our students have a safe, happy and enjoyable stay.
Nationality Mix In 2019 we welcomed students from over 85 countries including Italy, Germany, Russia, France, Spain, Thailand, China and Brazil. When Young Learners study at BSC they receive a truly multicultural experience and make friends from all over the world.
Skills for Life Our programmes focus on more than just teaching English. Students will develop a range of skills which will help them through life. Greater confidence, communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are just some of the benefits of choosing one of our English programmes.

Student Welfare
Students’ safety and comfort are our priority For both residential and homestay students we place the highest priority on providing an exceptional standard of care and supervision to ensure the welfare and safety of our Young Learners. Our team are always present to ensure our students have a safe, happy and enjoyable time and each centre has a qualified first-aider on-site. Close Supervision In accordance with British Council guidelines and our own welfare policies, all residential students are supervised at all times and students are not permitted to leave the centre without a member of our staff or group leader, and without prior permission. Those in homestay accommodation will travel by public transport and our team or the group leader will assist and accompany students where possible. After evening activities, students will travel in small groups in pre-ordered taxis back home.
Buddy system At our residential centres, each team member is directly responsible for the welfare and happiness of their buddy group. They check that group-led students and especially individual students are eating properly, looking after personal hygiene, keeping their rooms tidy, and also account for them at roll call and during fire alarms.
